When my sister was a baby, she always liked to listen to "Seen and not Heard" to fall asleep. I always used to joke about Petra rocking her to sleep. I can't listen to Petra to try to fall asleep, cuz I wanna stay awake and actually listen to it. I used to try to fall asleep to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" soundtrack, since it's instrumental. but that didn't work either, cuz scenes from the movie kept flashing through my mind.

I like the Field of Dreams soundtrack for going to sleep, except there's one song that's this old-timey music that plays when the ballplayers are coming out of the cornfield? And it gets really loud and wakes me up.

I've also tried the Chariots of Fire soundtrack, which works pretty well except the last song is this psycho electronic UFO sound-effect thing and THAT always woke me up. D'OH!!!

I have to have it quiet to fall asleep; I might listen to something just before I'm ready to call it a night, but background noise keeps me awake.

Like Shell, I prefer it to be quiet when I am going to sleep. I can't imagine listening to Petra and being able to fall asleep. However, most purely instrumental music will put me to sleep almost instantly. Once on an overnight drive through Ohio (before I had a CD player in my car), I was scanning radio stations and came upon some interesting classical music. BIG mistake! After I almost ran off the road, I had to stop and get a Mountain Dew. :) A friend of mine used to bug me about going to see Kenny G with her and I told her I was afraid I would embarrass myself by falling asleep at the show!

I`m exactly the opposite, if everything is quiet I can`t sleep, I gotta have the either the tv on or some music (calm music of course) and once I start to get sleepy then I turn everything off. But if I wanna fall sleep wit everything quiet I jus tcan`t.

I know that those two PP2 Remixes came off a promotional CD. I had found downloads of those songs a long time ago, but the version of Lovely Lord that I got was the same as the album version. I assumed this was because the album version is also somewhat acoustic. Is your version actually different? And if so, how?

Also, where did you get that acoustic version of If I Had To Die For Someone?

The differences in the acoustic version of "Lovely Lord" are pretty subtle, as I remember. You'd really have to listen to them closely, and back to back, to notice.

I believe I got all of the MP3's from JohnWSchlitt.com. I had a cassette of them from someone also, but the MP3s were on John's site I think.
