It's the day of the big concert!!!!! And I am pumped!

The staff and I are putting our finishing touches on things and will be prepared to start hosting the bands as they arrive late this morning.

I have successfully indoctrinated my 13-year-old son on Petra. He loves their new CD, and last night, he purchased some new drumsticks and Sharpies to do the autograph thing. He's been begging to hang out with the bands today, and I think I'll let him be my personal assistant for the day.

Farewell June just arrived from North Carolina. They drove all night, but are busy working with my team setting up already.

All the bands are here...except for Sarah Brendel. She's not coming at all. No loss, though!!!! I just see it as more time for Petra!!

Hopefully she won't show up at the Irving Texas show next month. I think it is absurd to have 3 bands opening up.

Hey...Bob Hartman just pulled out his banjo and was warming up with Farewell June. They were talking amongst themselves about doing a number together.

Here's the scoop from my itching ears...
The was basically some internal political issues with her record label and she is not touring with Petra at all.

Now...please understand that this might change, but that's the buzz from Petra today.

They probably thought she wasn't selling enough merchandise and figured they had partnered her with the wrong act. Or something.

Actually,

She's on Inpop's label, so hopefully that wasn't an issue.

I'm with the others who think that 3 opening groups was overkill.

Also, it appears her stylings didn't quite fit the bill.

Great Concert!!!

I have little time today to post much, but I will in the next few days.

No one whined about Sarah Brendel coming up MIA.
The opening bands were very good and let no one down.
Petra...wow, what can I say.

The time I spent with Bob and John was priceless.
