I started liking Petra ALOT in the This Means War era after Greg X left, but I still really liked Greg's solo stuff, especially The River is Rising. All I Can Do is probably one of the best Christian songs ever made, in my opinion. Greg X played Ichthus as a solo artist and his concert (with Pieces of 8) was probably the highlight of the entire weekend. He did his solo stuff and a few Petra songs. I vividly remember feeling the Holy Spirit more during his concert that any other that whole weekend. Too bad the solo stuff didn't last...

A few threads here compared the Petra split to Van Halen...another more recent one is Creed. And Ironically, Scott Stapp is supposed to release his first solo CD the same day that Petra releases Farewell. Any Creed fans out there?

For what it's worth, I loved Creed....but yet when they split and 2 of the members plus the former drummer became AlterBridge, I became a fan.

Scott Stapp's new song, "The Great Divide" has a VERY overt Christian theme to it. It's a song that sounds very much like Creed's hits like "Higher" and "My Sacrifice."

I did not know that pieces of 8 was an official Volz band. I just thought Greg got some friends together for a short time. Whenever I saw him he was solo, with soundtracks, but still good. Anyway, I would love to know where to get his vidz!

Unlost, drop me an email.

I'm not sure what Greg ever did with these - if they ever appeared on TV, or a compilation vid or what, but I have them.

I'm guessing that since his former wife, Becky, was involved in videography in some way, she produced these, but for what reason - I don't know.
