Greetings Petheads ---
I am newly registered but have been reading the zone for years.
I wanted to let Y'all know that ALL of the samples are on WALMART.com
Every cut can be heard ---
Go for it and be blessed!

What is really funny is the fact that inpop does not even have any sound clips on their site. They have the promo, but that is it!

Thanks for the clips. You're a class act, and so is your website. Keep up the good work. Your comment on the review hit the nail right on the head when you talked about He Came He Saw He Conquered. Although the band of Petra will be gone and missed, Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, those which Petra truly sang about, will be with us forever and ever, allelujia, amen.
Thanks so much for the kind comments. You know, I'm not sure I would have come up with the idea to close the concert with He Came, He Saw, He Conquered if I was just going through Petra's catalog on my own. But it is the perfect song.
Volz gets one "complete" song -- Graverobber. It's a good choice, since the song has such powerful lyrics and it's "his" song (I have never heard John Schlitt perform this one, though he does tackle other Volz-era songs like "Rose-Colored...").
There was that (in)famous live in the radio station acoustic set with Bob, Louie, Quinton, Greg & John & Bryce (?) -- John did Graverobber in that set.
Okay, I didn't know that. As I said in the review, I have never personally heard John perform that song at any Petra concert I've been to or have recordings of. But I reworded the review to reflect the fact that he has sung the song.
Great job Josh. The clips sound good high quality mix. The Cd is only 1 hour and 3 minutes long. They could have fit another 16 minutes on the CD, like the interaction between songs or even the 2 songs that are not on the CD but were played at the show. I guess I will never understand this side of the industry.
I don't know why they cut the songs they did, but there very well may have been production considerations (poor quality, etc). Honestly, though, leaving off "Lord I Lift Your Name" doesn't bother me. It's not *really* a Petra song, and they play it all the time. I do wish they had included "CHRISTIAN" as a hidden track, though. It would have been a "new" song for Petra, and it would have made for a funny surprise for folks.
Hey Josh...great job! I was wondering, is the guitar solo Bob does after Beyond Belief the same one he did on the ZJAM 2 years ago? Later!
I'm not sure. I don't think I've heard that particular solo. I doubt it's identical, though.
My favorite part is how I asked Inpop for a review copy weeks and weeks ago and never heard back from them. Oh well. All I can say is, Josh, you're the man with connections!
Heh, I don't know about the connections thing, but I've tried hard over the years to work with Inpop and to show them they can trust me. I am also very persistent. :)

Is it me, but I don't hear very much crowd noise in any of the clips (except Right Place)? We were pretty loud that night. Maybe there will be more in the complete CD. :D

I think it is just the part of the clips we are hearing. I'm sure there is plenty of crowd noise at the right time. I'm sure the producers dub that and put in their own here and there.

walmart.com ALSO says it is enhanced. Have we exhausted that theory, or is it still a possibility??

I heard crowd noise too in more than one song....LOVE the classic "Jesus Loves You" keyboard solo!

I feel it is just misprint. Inpopshara was very clear about it not being enhanced.

I just went to the warmart website and if you scroll down it states the CD is not enhanced.

Several InPop reps have said that it is definitely not an enhanced CD. There was talk of it early on, but the turn-around time was too short for the project, so I imagine websites like Amazon and Wal-Mart are working with old information.

crowd noise

There's plenty of crowd noise at key times... but mostly what people want to hear is the music, so the crowd is secondary. Don't worry... the CD starts out with the crowd chanting PE-TRA! PE-TRA! PE-TRA!

It sounds like a pretty huge crowd... we get our moment in the sun. :)

What do you guys mean by enhanced?

Enhanced is designed so when you put your CD in your computer drive it brings up certain data or pics or band website links.

And yes, the CD has alot more concert audience sounds then I heard on the previews. I dont want the audience to drown the music, but I do want to know its live.
