The biz is what it is. If this is the vocation God has called you to, I pray that you will find joy and contentment this Christmas season. If not, I pray that you will find the atmosphere to experience the fruits of the spirit and to utilize your talents for the glory of God.
You guys and gals got the wrong vibe. The whole point of the rant is to show you what the reasons are/may be. It isn't always a matter of the artist. EVERYTHING from start to finish on a CD is dictated by outside forces. We are artists and fight for their rights. We want the music to be delivered as it left the studio, that's all.

We are a very lite, cut-up, yet realistic bunch. We get slapped with reality every day. We are not bitter. We give in and use our Waves L2 just like everyone else. all the time making us wonder why we spend thousands on guitars, amps, and other gear, only to hear the character smashed away. We are just wishing that the big boys like Peter Gabriel, Don Henley and the other indie artist developers would hurry up and kill the record business, so that the music business can be reborn.

BTW, there are conferences held in Nashvegas about this very thing. George Massenberg and other VERY talented, award winning producer/engineers are working on it. But it will take decades to rip down what the greedy, seedy, dark world has constructed. And of course, there needs to be some education of the consumer as well.

We are doing what we are called to do, and are having fun. Thanks.
