I feel ya. I like it almost as much as "Jekyll and Hyde," and a little more than "Vertical Expressions." Awesome disc!

It was a good call to open the album up like they did.

I really like Back to the Rock; to me all the songs are better. Most of the Petra we have is from the John albums. We do have one compilation CD with a bunch of Greg era Petra songs too, and I have heard all the originals before. I really like "Second Wind" and "Adonai" quite a bit. Even though I bought the download, I will buy the CD when it come out. Peace and goodwill.

I've been listening to the album for a week now. For the most part, I think it's awesome. There's a real level of "Petra" authenticity to it. Original members playing the material. Heck, it's more authentic than the original recordings in some cases... as Louie wasn't even drumming on any of it except for the MPTY stuff. The album has a nice dynamic range, not smashed to the point of being annoying. You can listen to it loud for long periods of time without much fatigue. It is better than I was expecting, not that I thought it would be crappy, but the production to me just sounds so dang good. It's a very "live" sounding studio album, real meat and potatoes rock n roll. I'll have mine medium/rare, dripping with tone, to be enjoyed with a tall, cold glass of Sam Adams.
