I guess I ought to put together my own track list for the disc. We had the Myrrh cassette (pretty close to an original release, looks like), and it starts with Wake Up, and has Parting Thought at the end of side 1. But I recently saw a cover scan with a Myrrh logo on it that started with Walkin' in the Light and ended with Parting Thought.

Is there an order that is "definitively" correct?

The logical order would be to put Wake Up at the beginning and Parting Thought at the end, but I'm not sure what the best order would be between the two of them.

All different vinyl releases start with Walkin' In The Light and end with Parting Thought. I consider this to be the correct original track listing. I think the source for the second track listing is the 8-track release. I'm not sure till I find an 8-track for s/t, but for now I'm assuming that they used the 8-track tape order (which had to be reshuffled because of time issues) for the cassette and later Word/Epic CD releases.

That makes sense; one studio master tape for all the tape releases. I've never seen a Petra 8-track (but if I do, you know I'll buy it).

OK, another question for everyone here who owns the self titled album on vinyl:

Do you happen to have a copy with catalog number MSA-6527?

The regular catalog number for this album should be MST-6527-LP, of which there are two different releases. 1. The original release with a green label, 2. The 1975/76 re-release with the orange label. Supposedly there has been another re-release with another catalog number (according to: http://bsnpubs.com/word/myrrh/myrrh.html), but I've never seen it for sale. If anyone here would have it, that would mean I'd have to track it down!

And of course there's also the 1985 re-release on A&M Records, which has a completely different catalog number SP 5061.
