I think that is intended as backing vocals, to get a fuller sound so to say, and not as a tuning "cheat".

No, not all his lead vocals are being done live, which in this day & age is not out of the ordinary. Read your PM it explains more.

Exe, with all due respect I think you areconfused. I have been to 4 CP concerts so far on this tour and Greg only used the prerecorded stuff for the live dvd for production pourposes only. Just watch the Norway 2011 and 2012 concerts videos and you will see his effort singing live. I think that is a harsh accusation and goes a long way.

No not confused. There were bits & pieces of songs that was lipsynced, and most of "All Over Me" that was that way. There was a part in "All Over Me" where he turned around and was facing Louie singing and he had the mic down by his side and his vocals were coming out loud & clear. I'm not saying it is done at every show but it evident it was done in Plano, Tx.
BTW I'm not the one making a big deal out of it, I don't really care because in this day this is the norm for a live show. I was just making an observation.

On another note this is a John thread and it should be return to such, if you want to respond or comment about Greg feel free to start another thread or just PM me.

Exe, you're the one who brought Greg into this and made an accusation about what he does live, so I don't think you should complain if you are expected to defend your comments. There is no question what Greg can do live, he has proven it over and over again, beyond the shadow of a doubt in portions that are clearly not pre-recorded, so, personally, I think the point is irrelevant. A criticism of John does not necessitate a criticism of Greg. It's not a competition. Early in the tour, Greg was not 100% and there were people who pointed that out. I didn't see you point to faults in John's performances when that happened, so maybe you need to examine your motives a bit.

It probably has to do to with when greg was sick earlier in the year and having to fulfill those dates. he has never quit do to a sore throat. and like I said I am amazed about what john and greg are doing right now.

I agree. When you consider that we are talking about a couple of sixty year old men, they are both doing amazingly well and really, it shouldn't be an off note, or song, or day that gives us something to talk about but rather the fact that they can still do what they do at all.

I'm not complaining about anything, just stating what I saw & heard, and after the show I approached the sound engineer for the church and he said recorded vocals were being used for some parts. You and a couple of others are the ones complaining and making a BIG deal out of my comments; I actually think that it is alright to do what he was doing which I've CLEARLY stated in 2 previous posts in this very thread, but you all seem to fail to see that.
By saying I'm making an accusation makes it sound like I think its wrong or something which in reality I don't think it is. I'm sure there are times when John does the same, but I've never seen it in person so I'm not sure if that's the case, but if he does I'm fine with it;
Please just grow up and stop assuming I have motives that are not right.

That is what I was thinking also and agree that the 2 of them do an great job in relation to both of their ages.

I like the set list; its got slot of variety in it. I'm eager to know exactly what was included in the rock medley. The one disappointment I have is I think more needs to be played off of TGC, because this album needs to be showcased more.

No, this time I will not post the complete show.

This is due to the following reasons:
1) I was called up on stage after "Hope That Saves The World"....I don't want you to see that.....
2) The band did a (non-christian) rock medley that I guess John doesn't want online. I could see he wasn't that happy about it. The band played some Queen, Deep Purple + + -stuff. John sang the song "We will rock you".
3) The PA-rig on stage had much noise, and that ruined the beginning of some slow songs...

Ok, just watched the video and have to agree that John was singing a little flat on the song, but there could have been many reasons for that. It's not something he normally does.
