That is the funniest post I've seen here in awhile.

Sue, you'll have to let us know what John says when he has a chance to see it.

Well, you can start as low as a buck! Ten bucks gets you the digital download. What's ten bucks?
Guys, thanks for upping your pledge! When John saw that it was at $30K this a.m., he was thrilled!

I am so pumped about this album, even though I've never been much on Christmas music. PLEASE John put"The Little Drummer Boy" on there; the message of that song is so powerful.

Little Drummer BOy is a great song. How bout some tunes yo never want to hear again? My vote would be "Mary Did you Know" and "Christmas Shoes." Please, if you are reading this John, neither of these tunes- they are overly sappy, and one isn't even very good melody wise.

How about an original tune or two as well? Most Christmas albums by an artist have at least one new song (at least the christmas albums I have).

I'm kind of hoping he sticks with the classics and not put anything new.

"Do You Hear What I Hear" is my favorite, not over-done song. I also like "Go Tell It On the Mountain" but you need a large back up choir with soul, and that might not be in the budget.
I would be fine with one original song if it was a really good one and personal like the song for Dorla on TGC.
I have been waiting to make my pledge because I am getting laid off as of this coming Friday so finances are iffy. I'd hoped to have something lined up but so far it is not to be. I'm glad John already made the goal so I don't have to feel guilty if my pledge is small.

I'm sorry about your job situation Bridget. Getting laid off stinks. It's not the size of the pledge that really matters though; you're still contributing to something worthwhile no matter how small or large it is. It would be dumb to pledge beyond what you can afford.
I happen to think "Mary Did You Know" is a beautiful song, but I do realize not everyone will think so.
