It's obviously a mondegreen. Just because a lot of people heard Jimi Hendrix sing "'scuse me while I kiss this guy" doesn't mean he did.

I never knew the real name of the third basemen for the Cubs in the late 80's because Harry Carry couldn't say Vance Law.

It always came out Van Slaw....I though he was preparing a hotdog on air! :lol:
