Then kudos to you, my friend! I really did hope that there would be something from that first album, even if it was just a tidbit of stuff from the first two albums like Get Back To the Bible or Wake Up, or Come and Join Us thrown into an artificial bridge of another song or maybe in one of the medleys. I can understand why it wasn't there, and as I said before, there's going to be stuff everybody would have liked that didn't happen, so I'm not going to complain, but as a retrospective it would have been very cool. That having been said, we did get at least tastes of The Coloring Song and For Annie, so I'll have to be happy with going back to at least 1981!
But like I said, I understand. Had Greg Hough, Bill Glover, or Dan Schrock been there maybe that would have been different.

we stayed to to almost the very end when there was only a handful of people left. we wished paul good luck on finding a wife (john's comment during the concert was funny). We told him that his solo needs to be in the DVD. He told us he talked to 'someone' already and they said they did tape it and would most likely be in it. It really looked like he was having loads of fun. EVERY song he was really getting into it. I noticed Greg kept looking at Paul like he was going crazy. It was fun!

Yes, this is what John had said in the past. He felt it would have been too awkward.I was wondering if they would actually sing together or if one would just step behind the curtain while the other did his work...Wasn 't there a lady named Sue that assured us this would "NEVER" happen?
He also said he did not want to have a live video that had less of an audience than the original.
Sometimes we don't always get what we want!

It was an awesome time... the Lord surely arranged for me to get there, because I had just bought a house this past weekend, had no money and no vacation time left. And yet, thanks to Bridget's hospitality, I was able to go.
God is good.
Re: Paul's solo
I talked with him after the show, and he did say that Jim Cooper (producer of the video & former Petra keyboardist) assured him that it was going to be included in the DVD.
On a side note, Bridget and I stopped over by John's house the next day, and - poor guy - Jim asked him to come back into the studio to re-record vocals, just for backup purposes. So he had to go in to do that in the evening, then hop on the tour bus and pull out at midnight.
Man... talk about a busy schedule. I really don't know how he does it. I hope I have that kind of stamina when I reach 55.
