I don't believe it. I am looking at firm dates, but you know...it will never happen. John is better than Greg. I don't believe Jesus is coming back either. I don't have a firm date and I must see it to believe it.

I think maybe what Brent is trying to say is there is no way some of these dates can be valid. Way too many back to back dates; at one point they will do a show 15 nights in a row and this is just the ones that are supposedly confirmed.
No artist(especially their age)in their right mind would try and do all these shows like this. Big tours like this usually do 4 shows in a 7 day period.

Nope. What I was saying was tongue in cheek. Some people will still deny this will happen, even with published dates. They have to see it to believe it. I took it to the extreme by adding the Jesus element. That's how I roll sometimes.
The boys can go non-stop like that. I toured with a cat that was doing something 300 days out of the year. They were not always full shows, but he was doing something. It can be done.

I am very happy with everything that is happening.
Even I am trying to make contacts for this tour to visit Brazil.
But I prefer John Schlitt on lead vocals.
It's just a matter of preference. That's it.

Yeah, look at the Southern Gospel part of music. Some of those guys are in their 60s and 70s and still get on a bus and tour 200 dates a year and are singing somewhere every night, that's setting up their own sounds systems everynight and eating late everynight and not always having a Hotel room but sleeping on their bus.
When Petra does a tour this big, all they are doing is doing sound checks, playing and singing the concert, they have stage hands and sound companies doing all of the setting up, and promoters and road managers taking care of their needs. Yeah they can do this several nights in a row.
I play in a Southern Gospel band, and I've played a few large Festivals as well as the touring night after night. I can tell you when you get into the big arena's and convention centers and you have those stage hands running the equipment and stage directors and managers running the ball, and all you have to do is get off the bus and go and do a sound check and then do a meet and great at the product booth later, oh yeah it can be done night after night.
And don't say "yeah but that's southern gospel" because I've also played rock and I play my but off and ever bit as hard as a rock musician when i'm playing Southern Gospel, I've got the back pain to prove it.

I disagree with you all about the amount of tour dates; even during Petra's heyday they were not doing so many dates in a row. I hate to go see a show on their 15th night in a row, their going to be beaten down

Can't you guys realize that this is a chronological list of the first leg of the tour with 46 or so straight days listed and the gaps are obviosly the resting days in between that they do not need and do not want to fill. Why would they play 46 days in a row? Does not this make sense to you? Just look, they are calendar days!

At the most there are 4 concerts in a row and gaps in between for traveling between regions. The tour will continue outside the USA in 2011.

Oh, I believe it's happening. I'm just not convinced about the whole "10-year, 3 album" commitment thing.

I agree that the manager was probably too excited and wishing when he told me about the 3 albums and 10 years, but do the dates make more sense to you now?

I wrote to Michael (manager) about some doubts I had and I asked about the Sony Music and Cd's among other questions.
The answer came immediately.
Question: - I read about Petra and Sony Music, a 10-year contract with three CDs with 10 revamped classics plus 2 new songs each.
Answer: - *Sony, Provident, & Integrity our our distributors, but will have CD’s available w/ download options on our site. We are still negotiating the years of our contract w/ Sony, probably will be less than 3 years.
