I think a version of "Thankful Heart" and/or "Don't Let Your Heart Be Hardened" from Greg would be cool, but that's just my opinion too.

Suggestion: Could we just enjoy the song (or not) and not worry about who asked who to do what or whose song it is? It's a bit late now to do a whole lot about it anyway; it's done.

I would like to hear Greg sing the whole BTTS album.

Yeah, I noticed the video had been removed too, but I found the one Matthew posted on YouTube. They sound good together. 8) I now have the song in my Amazon cloud player.

I don't think there will be a Classic Petra record with with Bob on it, unless Classic Petra changes their style and moves forward. They need to get interesting. If I had the money now, I would rent the masters, remove the vocals via DSP, and have Greg sing it. It would be the same thing.

Is Bob Hartman not moving forward with Classic Petra?

Some people here are speculating on that, based on what they think they know, but no such announcement has been made. According to management, Bob is still a part of the band and the only reasons that they have not made a new album are reasons that have been beyond the bands control, so the band is kind of at a stand still with that for now and wants to take a break after two years of touring, especially since they don't have a new album to help drive the touring. Officially, the band is basically on hiatus, but some insist that management is lying and that things are much worse than they seem, so there ya go. There's a lot more I know about details, but I'm not at liberty discuss those things and therefore, I'm pretty confident in what I've been told by management.

I hate politics; too many shades of gray.

I'm sure that's what the situation actually is at the moment, but I don't really get the circumstances beyond their control. Bob and John have their own studios. They released BTTR without any label involvement, so why not just record an album and release it in a similar way? It can't be that hard to find a couple of weeks to get together in the studio. And what about the deal they supposedly had with ANR Records? What happened with that? Do they actually have a management right now? As far as I know Dean is not their manager, but more their social media person, right?

What you say makes sense, but I don't think you're taking into account what you're talking about takes bucks. It's an expensive process. Brent would know more about that than I do.

Have they considered the Kickstarter route?

Maybe they have realized the fans want an all-new-material Classic Petra album, but they just haven't written enough songs yet. Or maybe Greg has written 10 songs but Bob doesn't think they sound like Petra. ;)

At this point, my impression is that Classic Petra was something the guys did for "old time's sake" with no plans for it to be a long-term venture.

Actually, no. John does not own a studio - DAN NEEDHAM does.

Going back to the original post on the Praise Ye the Lord video:
It's been removed because:
I had a request from the Italians to take it off for now, because it was NOT the final video. Davi's files were hacked somehow, so this video was a test to see how it looked once they retrieved the damaged files. When it was uploaded, and the man who uploaded it forgot to set Youtube to 'private.'

So I'm asking anyone who has the video to remove it, including the Timon from Russia. Once the FINAL version comes out, everyone is welcomed to share.

I think he meant it was John Lawry who has his own studio..
