Brutality and VHS
Just to <AHEM> go ahead and bring back the actual topic of this thread...
I hope I wasn't the one being brutal! When I made the comment about protecting copyright interests, I was NOT saying "Bob Hartman only cares about keeping others from stealing his work and not giving him money for it." But I do know there are realities in the music world, and it only takes a few stories about things like the Righteous Brothers not getting paid when "Unchained Melody" was used in the movie Ghost to know that there are some harsh realities in the music biz. If the situation were the one I described, I would actually applaud you, Bob, for taking care of what God had given you.
I applaud you even more for making the effort to make this available to the masses. And as to the "only selling fifty of them" thing... I'll make sure I get an email out to the 900+ people who have signed the petition on the Guide as soon as the DVD is available. And as to the transfer-from-VHS thing... my gosh, people, RELAX! Wouldn't you rather have a as-best-as-can-be-done transfer from VHS than a NOTHING? I'm pumped!

Well Pro Shot VHS to DVD ought to not be too bad. Just as long as the original tape is ok and the player is not having tracking issues. I doubt the masters were exactly recorded in surround or anything.
It's a shame they were lost. I've heard some crazy stories about movies and how they got lost, the process of restoration. So I'm not too surprised.
But at least we went from "No way in Hell" to "Hell Freezes Over".

Anything is better than the VHS I usted to have that got mixed up with a BP&J in the VCR.
My son (who now thinks Bob is the best person to ever hold a pick) is the one who did it and when I told him he almost cryed. It was kinda funny really. He was like one and was upset 15 years latter. HEHEHE

Just think in 15 years will be saying the samething about what we are wearing today.brent wrote:I just wish that there is some Holy, divine intervention, that allows my DVD player to radiate a refracted lazer, that hits me in the head, and transports me back in time...to stay. I would fix all of the 80's fashion boo boos before they happen.

I was just thinking..(that is not always a good thing).
Does Bob realy think he will only sell 50 copys of the very DVD the Petheads have been jumping up and down, screamming and begging for for so long.
We will just have to show him the power of the Petheads.(then start jumping, screaming and begging for the others)!!!!!!!

What I'd like to see, assuming that CITAS sells well, is maybe on one of the other video tape releases some type of petra discography, maybe with a few notes to go with each album. Possibly even samples of each song.
It's perfectly possible with today's pc software. In fact for my own personal use I'll probably throw something together. I got a few neat ideas for using the Xbox 360's virtual light machine among other things. It's just a matter of getting of my lazy butt.
Believe it or not the Xbox 360 recognizes petra CD's! I put Not Of This World in a couple weeks ago and it knew which album it was and the titles of the tracks.

80's fashion has already made a comeback as noted in the rising tide of foul witchery known as skinny jeans and the devil's own handwork, leggings.I just wish that there is some Holy, divine intervention, that allows my DVD player to radiate a refracted lazer, that hits me in the head, and transports me back in time...to stay. I would fix all of the 80's fashion boo boos before they happen.
The dispies among us should be preparing to be raptured.
