That explains it then. It's surprising how often artists "copy themselves", or, rather, use the same techniques, melodies or chords in multiple songs, although they often do it unknowingly.

Who's up for the idea of adding the subgenre with each band? E.g.
The Violet Burning-Duran Duran (Brit pop/rock)
Chasing Furies-Evanescence (hard rock)
Audio Adrenaline- The Police (soft rock)
Vigilantes Of Love- Johnny Cash, 38 Special (southern rock)

I can look into subgenres more and be more specific if necessary and y'all can correct me as needed. I don't think The Violet Burning is even British, and I think The Police sound somewhat 'reggae' almost. Sorry if that's an insult to Police lovers, however AA's Big House and voice sound like them soo. Anyway, who's up for the idea, and then I'll add it in! : ) Any subgenres you already notice please let me know no matter how obvious that I might already notice ; )

I think it's a good idea. I would personally label Audio A as alternative rock. Depends on which version though. The new one sounds more like pop rock/rock. Johnny Cash I'd say is folk and country. True, some of his stuff is a bit more rock or rock-'n'-roll, but not most of it.

Alternative is a good label too, thank you. Southern rock, country, but since VOL isn't country it's more of southern rock and Johnny Cash is both I'd put that since it covers it best I think. Folk/southern rock maybe??

Sure. I think originally did more country, near the end of his life a lot of his music was what I'd consider folk. Also, he did the occasional more rock/rock-'n'-roll influenced song

I would suggest some more obscure Christian Bands but I wouldn't be able to compare them to any secular bands, not off the top of my head at least
