See here for some details - as much info as I have:

Sometimes promoters put out press releases/posters BEFORE they have a signed contract... so perhaps this isn't a for sure thing in Chaska.

I don't know... just offering a possible explanation.

Isn't it possible that they are going to play both places? If they played early (11am or so) in KY, they could conceivably fly to MN and play there that evening.

It looks like there is the same thing happening on this Saturday, Aug 28th. A Christian radio station in Cincy says they are performing there at 11:30am, and the other Petra sites have them listed as playing that evening in MD.

...or maybe Petra's management isn't communicating with people properly. Just a thought.

I don't know

I don't know how true this statement is but I heard through a promoter in my area that this summer 3rd Day was doing 2 shows on the same day. Some of the festivals they have been doing this summer they have been playing in the early afternoon, then catching a flight to their next gig that night. I know that this concept is far fetched since Petra hasn't been blazing the concert trails the last few years, but could it be possible? Everytime I send Wayne Seboa an email asking for an up to date concert schedule for Petra he writes back check Petraband.com that is the latest info I have. He has actually says that petraband.com tour dates is updated weekly, which we all know is a lie.

The only one who would have the definitive answer is management...

Perhaps emails of inquiry would be in order for those who are wanting to attend one of these dates.

here is the email addy:

It's really to everyone's benefit to have accurate concert information...It's unrealistic to expect people to go to Petra's concerts if they don't have the information they need. And how can the guys know where they're supposed to be without accurate information?

Ok - I found out the answer:

they are playing BOTH dates, per John.

Executioner, you win the prize! DING DING DING!

If anyone has details on the Chaska show, please email me so I can get it up on johnwschlitt.com. I really want to have the most accurate info available - as Shell said, Petheads are willing to travel great distances to see a show.

The need INFORMATION in order to do that. I want to give it.

Wahoo!!

String goes from excitement to bummed out back to excitement. Thanks, Sue, so much for that good news. Them boys are going to be tired by the end of the night!!

I, at one time, had the number of the guy organizing that. Let me dig around my messy apartment to see if I can find that number.

wahoo

Wahoo! I finally got something right. I will have to admit it was just a guess though. I expect some nice prizes in the mail.

Sue,

I found out today that I can no longer email Wayne. He had my email addresses blocked. They just shoot back at me saying undesired mail from sender. I've never heard of this before can someone explain if they know what this means. If it is what I think it means than I am ashamed for Petra that someone in their organization is treating someone that has given his prayers, time, and money to this ministry. I've been with them since NSD, but I'm begining to wonder if I should stick around if I'm being treated this way.

That is pretty sad someone trying to get information about a concert would be treated that way.
