What happened to Louie Weaver? He was a virtual mainstay - a fixture - in Petra and now he's gone. Why did he leave?

Louie was let go in I think April of 2003. The details have not been made public, although there has been a lot of speculation and rumors here and elsewhere. Check out http://www.guidetopetra.com/news.html?Post_Type=B - the relevant news bites are in the May 2003 area. There you can get both sides of the story, so to speak (Petra's official statement and Louie's).

Louie's gone, but not forgotten. Check out lowdbrent's post at www.inpop.com 's Petra messageboard. He recently had Louie in the studio!

Check out http://www.LouieWeaver.com.

Isn't String working on Louie Weaver Ministries International's Website too? Is that site ready yet? I haven't even kept up!
What is that URL?

No problemo!! I have e-mailed the Weavers a couple times with no feedback but I redesigned the page (not open to the public yet) and am waiting for approval to do the whole site. It is a big undertaking so I want to wait until they OK it.

So, bottom line, the site is planning to look better. Weavers were thrilled with it at first but after looking around, they wanted a change. I kind of figured they would after snooping around a bit.

A bit of trivia about Louie and past members. Both Louieweaverministries.org and louieweaver.com are hosted by none other then......Kevin Brandow! Remember him? In fact, Kevin and I have worked together a little on the ministries page.

Wanna see his hosting page? http://www.anerdandageek.com . He is a goofball!!

I wanna see da site, I wanna see da site! Well, I'm sure it looks great.

Oh, Kevin, yes, he's a hoot!

I have posted the redesigned version (Just one page) before but, if you want to critique it, here it is: http://www.louieweaverministries.org/index2.html .

Any and all comments are welcome.

Just a quick thing...

I'd find a more clear copy of the logo on top and I'd flip the photos around.

You always want a person looking to the CENTER of the page, not looking off the page. I know he's younger on the first shot, but he's looking the wrong way.

Minor thing.... I know....

Yeah, those pictures could be better. I searched on Louie Weaver in Google and game up with those temporarily. I tried sizing them appropriately as well. Still needs work. Thanks for the input.

Yeah, I like the design much better than on the other site.
It's really cool how Sue can pick this stuff out. She's got
an eye for things! Sometimes those minor things can make
such a difference.

Neat

Hey, it's neat how you did that up. Yeah, on the pictures it's always best to have the photos facing in like Sue recommended. I was still in Jr. High when we had an Interior Decorating party and the lady giving the presentation was describing how to hang pictures on the wall. It was rather neat when I learned how to place the groupings and such.

Louie just recorded drum tracks on a project that I am producing/engineering. The sessions were very fun.

Louie has a band called Viktor. It is comprised of the former lead singer for King James, a buss driver/bass player from the Mylon LeFevre and Petra days, and a member from White Heart I believe. They have played a few times. No new record yet.

Our record will also have Michael Gleason from AD, and now we are waiting on confirmation from Kerry Livgren.

Thanks.
