ive never seen petra live in concert and something tells me that i never will. i do dream about it and often wonder if i could arrange for them to drop over here for a gig. but i dont know. seems like too much of a task.

but then again, if it's possible, why not? can anyone tell me how to arrange a concert? im guessing sue would have the most info on this. and what about expenses? can anyone give me a ballpark figure?

the philippines is a great place with massive Christian activity. petra were once the kings of Christian rock here (i say "once", with a great tinge of sadness, because since they left Word Records their albums have not made it to phillipine shores, hence the band going unnoticed to a whole new breed of young believers here).

it would be fantastic is they could make it and do a show. id love to be a part of making that happen.

help me out guys.

only sue can help you with that, I don`t know much about except for what sue has told me to say to latin people who have written her for the same thing.

She says that we gotta pray about it, that we gotta make churches get involved ya know (not only you ya know), well at john`s website there`s a part where sue explains how to make a concert.

HEY, I`m in Mxico, petra hasnp`t come since 1992 and I have seen John twice :D, why? because the power of prayer :D if God could provide me I know He can provide YOU to go somewhere to a petra concert :).

Ya know what? yeah, pray for a concert in your place but also pray that God provides you to go to a place where petra be playing ;) and don`t give up. I prayed 4 years before I could meet John and I still pray, for meeting the band ;)...

With God ALL THINGS are possible...so you never know.

I never thought I'd ever know how to put on a concert either, but it happened and I IDIDN'T lose money like everyone else.

Let me refer you to this page: http://www.johnschlitt.net/Concerts101.htm

that will help get you started.

You'll have to pay for the honorarium (negotiable), plus airfare for 5-6, meals, lodging... plus instruments, sound, lights... it goes get expensive. But that's where fund-raisers come in - and businesses who are willing to donate.
