Update...

If all goes as planned this week, I will have added John Schlitt to the HA! Label project "Damage Control". The shelf date is now January. We had to push it back due to availability of players, etc. Now I can sleep! It is going to be a rockin' record!

HA? What are you HA!-lking about?

I don't think that the others here want to relive the story again, so please do a search and find out more. Basically, we have a CD out soon with a core band of Alan Sandifer, myself, George New and Christian Dean from 6 Foot Landing, (www.6footlanding.com), Michael Vines (multiple winner of Austin's best US guitar player contests), Michael Gleason (who is an industry vocalist veteran from AD, etc), Kerry Livgren from Kansas, AD (www.numavox.com doing some solo's), Louie Weaver playing drums, and now we are in the process of adding John Schlitt as a lead vocalist.

This sounds like an awesome project. Just let me know how to get ahold of it when it's finished and I'll take a few of them.

I never thought I'd see Louie Weaver and John Schlitt on the same record again. 8)

It would be a wonderful opportunity for them to work together again and maybe do whatever forgiving and burying the hatchet might be necessary. I hope they take advantage of it, life is too short not to build bridges when you have a chance.

Sounds like a way cool project.

CLARIFICATION BEFORE THIS GETS OUT OF CONTROL: WE DO NOT WANT TO MISLEAD ANYONE. LOUIE RECORDED HIS PARTS IN TULSA IN SEPTEMBER. JOHN WILL BE THE LAST TO RECORD IN NASHVILLE IN DECEMBER/JANUARY. THEY ARE NOT WORKING "TOGETHER". THEY WILL NOT WORK "TOGETHER" ON THIS PROJECT. THIS PROJECT IS NOT A REUNION. IT IS OUR MUSIC, OUR CD. IT WAS NEVER INTENDED TO BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN US HAVING OUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES OVER, HIRING THEM TO ACCENT OUR PRODUCTION WITH THEIR DISTINGUISHED TALENTS.

I talked to Penny and Louie today. All is well with them. They will be making an anouncement soon about Louie's band. I will let them spill the beans.

PEACE TO ALL.

Point taken. I just thought it would be a good opportunity if it happened to work out that way.

I did not know it until I heard it, but Gregg Bisonette's new CD reflects his faith in Jesus Christ. Read the notes and listen to the lyrics. At first I was floored by how fast he junped on board. Then I figured it out after I read the disc notes. DUH!

Derek Sherenian has done alot of session work with them and he is one a new indie project with them. I have always liked his style. Portnoy is playing on the ex-Spock's Beard and Trans Atlantic singer's records. He is a Christian now, so mabye he will witness to Portnoy and he'll get saved.

I would like to have Eddie Van Halen play. But, that would be too contraversial for both secular and Christian worlds. Plus I have two guys that can put him away now.

Brent, when you get that far - would you be willing to fling me an mp3 of John's song for his website?

When it is ready to ship I will send you a disc. I'll need all the press and word-of-mouth that I can get.
