The Petra Zone

What are we all gonna do? There is such great fellowship and community here! 30+ years (hopefully 40?) of ministry, and its all over, what then? It's been nagging me for a while. It can't end, it just can't but it will, and what will happen then?

When they decide to wrap things up, they BETTER go out huge!

There is no reason that this forum couldn't go on in one form or another, band or not. There are discussion forums for TV shows from the 60's for goodness sakes. There are lots of bands with former Petra members in them (most notably at present, Tait and Strange Celebrity). And we can always have fist fights about Bible verses, right? With all that to discuss, what difference does it make if there is actually a BAND to support the discussion zone? hehe

For the record... I think Petra will still exist for quite some time. When we see geezers like Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones hang up their guitars, I'll start to wonder.

Only the character Dr. Greene died. The actor is still very much alive. But that's okay, you can be in denial if you want to. I've missed him too.

I talked to God and he said that John and Bob have a free pass to live forever, so that we can die happy people.

Oh sorry, no because of the recent light of Petra going on forever, God said for all those that will listen to Petra will live for ever, so put that out of your minds too.

dr. Greene didn`t die. Don`t you remember? see, I faint when I knew he was going to go to beach to live his "last days" and it was so hard for me that I had a heart attack and my family took me to the hospital. When I woke up a day later I asked my mom what happened and she said that dr. Greene didn`t die, that he just went to another hospital. And she never lies. Though it seems I missed some stuff `cause I don`t understand why dr. Corday cries often.

Ross, I had the same problem where I was wondering about Petra's future and feeling all depressed over the fact that their days are numbered as a band...but the good part is, they say they're just getting started. So, we shall wait and see what the future brings. But, as everyone says, even if/when they do quit, life goes on.
