Am I the only one here who thinks the interlude on the song "Last Daze" from the album Beyond Belief is TOTALLY awesome? The thing is almost a minute long and it ROCKS MY FACE OFF :D (Is interlude the right name for this?)
Anyway, I think Petra should do more of this type of stuff on their next CD, along with more guitar solos. What do you guys think?

That's what makes "Last Daze" one of my most fav Petra songs ever - it's divided into three sections and each one transitions so well toward the next.

You got that song goin' thru my head, boy.

I'm with ya - I want to hear this kinda stuff on their new album!

yeah!

agreed. that's what was missing in a lot of petra's newer stuff. no solos and no just jamming parts/interludes.

Ohhhhhhhh yeah!!!! I ask that same question to myself everytime I play Last Daze, and then I find myself rewinding the interlude and playing it over and over again. They do it so well, and I can't understand why they didn't do it more often. This song - in particular - that interlude - is one of the reasons Beyond Belief is my favorite Petra CD. I love it.

We probably won't see anything like that again unless the Elefantes get back in the picture. I would love to see that happen.
