The Petra Zone

Well only for two seconds. When they do there jingles they are using Heart of a Hero as backgroung music for a couple of seconds..


A friend of mine called Air1 to request a Petra song (give him a copy of Jekyl and Hyde and loved it. A new Petra fan), The DJ said "Who!!!?" "Petra" he said. The DJ told him that "we dont play them" in an annoyed voice and hung up on him. He probably was having a bad day.

No they all acted that way on Air1 when they hear the name Petra.

We were very angry about hearing this too, so my husband called Air1 to find out what the deal was. He was told that this is not the case, that they play Petra all the time and that they couldn't imagine one of their DJ's saying that about Petra. She said that she was glad that he brought this to her attention and she's going to check into it.

If Air 1 plays Petra "all the time," I must be mistaking them for some lame garage band. I hear plenty of those on there.

To my knowledge Petra has NEVER been played on Air1....they do get played on KLove (well, the only ones they play on there are "we need jesus" and "lord i lift your name on high" but still)......but I've been listening to Air1 like constantly for the past year, haven't heard Petra even once...

then why are you listening?

Perhaps Air1 plays other artists that he enjoys?

Air1 did play petra quite a bit we I first heard of them. The last song I heard from petra on Air1 was a couple of years ago when the use to play Breathe for the Double Take Album and thats been it. A matter of fact they don't even play Whiteheart anymore either.

you're telling me Air1 use to play Whiteheart?

All the time. especially from Tales of Wonder which is a great CD. The last song they played from them was from the Redemption CD. They played Jesus and one more that a cant think of at the moment.

The other Redemption song I remember them playing was "Man Overboard."

Redemption was a great CD, I really enjoy it, and listen to it often.

The other WhiteHeart song from redemption was Fall on Me. For some reason Air1 played a shorter version of the song then the cd
