The Petra Zone

I know this topic must be a little daring but I got a doubt:
(I hope it never happen)If John get out of petra and got a new band,
what band would you be a fan? John's band or Petra(without John) ?

Well, that's not likely to happen any time soon, but it would depend on who took John's place.

Why couldn't we be a fan of both?

I would definitely be a fan of John's, no matter what he did (unless it was rap), but as Shell said, it would depend on what the "new" Petra sounded like.

That's an interesting question -- especially since Creed broke up. Scott Stapp is doing his own thing, while the other members are involved in Altar Bridge. So far, I haven't gotten too excited over Altar Bridge. I like Scott Stapp's song for the Passion of the Christ CD ("Relearn Love"). I guess my point is that we could follow both John solo and Petra and see what happens. In reality, I think it's safe to say that Petra wouldn't last without John. Still, God could provide a way if that ever happened.

I would be a fan of Petra if John left, provided one of the following leads took over for him:

Chris Cornell
Mark Stuart
Brannon Hancock
Scott Silletta

I gotta be honest, if John would leave Petra, I would definitely follow John, because like it or not, anyone can play a same song (the music) but the voice is the voice ya know.

No, I haven't heard anything about the Creed reunion shows. They must have worked out their differences.

There was one I believe. Since they both have pretty much tanked without each other, and the money probably isn't as good as it used to be, I would imagine a minset like this: "What differences? We are the best of friends. Sure, let's play again."

"What differences? *Ka-Ching* We are the *Ka-Ching-ka-ching* best of friends. *Make the check out to Creed, C-R-E...* Sure, let's play again."

I would have to wait and see who John's band would be.
Can you say AndBand reunion?

If it included me returning as guitar player then I would have to say John all the way. He was what lead me to loving Petra in the first place. That voice!! Of course I would always love Petra as well, but I don't think it could continue at this point without John.

I'm so jealous. I wish I could say I had enough talent to be able to even consider to play in a band with John.

I personally couldn't chose between the two. I think I would follow both as I love both. Do we have to choose one or the other?? I think I'll sit on the fence on this one

YEAH, I definitely gotta pick the andband and john hehehehe!!!!!!! because guys, think about it: when you see the andband, you can identify yourselves with them, they are part of the "people" ya know, somehow they represent all of us on stage hehehehehe.
