I thought that was Farm Aid they played at, but it's possible they were at this too. It's also possible this is you pulling people's leg's again, I've fallen for it too many times.

It would take too long for me to download, so I'll take other people's word for it.

no matter how

no matter how many times people tells me that pulling someone`s leg is a way of saying "someone playing a joke to you or lying" I still can`t find the relation of that with this idiom.

I don't think Petra played at Live Aid. That was somewhere in 1985 and when introducing Hollow eyes on CITAS, John Lawry says something about Live Aid. From his words I would conclude that Petra wasn't there. And anyway, wasn't that the big secular festival with Queen? I don't think they would have invited Petra.
Shell is correct that Petra played at Farm Aid, Dallas, TX. That was March 1992. They did three songs: Destiny, Creed, Who's on the Lord's side. The first two songs were broadcast on TV.

Queen was one of the best bands at Live Aid
U2 also played a great set. The flag-waving for SBS was featured more at Red Rocks than at Live Aid
I watched about 95% of Live Aid so what other questions do you all have?
Live Aid / Farm Aid / U2 / Petra?
