The Petra Zone

Driving home from work yesterday. I was listening to Air1 and I heard one of there promos with another Petra song in the background. Immediately thought that they were using another petra song without promoting Petra. MAN WAS I WRONG. It was a promo for Spirit West Coast Del Mar. It's starts with the drum march from the begining of This Means War!!!! Then they proceed to annouce what bands were playing and the very last band the said was......ok grab on to something........PETRA. I couldn't help screaming in the car and banging on the sterring wheel. As the promo ends the song you here in the background is the begining of You Are My Rock!!! It was beautiful thing man!!

I caught that too! I thought the background music sounded familiar. I remember thinking of "This Means War," but I couldn't place the keyboards at the end of the promo. Of course, "You Are My Rock!"
They've also mentioned Petra in another Spirit West Coast promo.

Awesome is it not!!!! Skycaptain are you going to see Petra in Oceanside and Del Mar?

Nice to see Petra promoted as a major act, not simply an add-on in the list.

You guys are right! I've been hearing about it here in Lexington, KY. It's really cool to hear it. Now, if we could just get Air1 to actually PLAY some Petra!

You never know, though. They might decide to be all over a new Petra CD, especially if things go well with their performance at Spirit West Coast.
