PETRA will come wherever they are invited. If you can get a church interested or several churches, an organization......all it takes for you to talk to someone and get others to help you talk to people and let them know about PETRA retiring and - if they'd be interested to have them one more time before they quit. You never know.........

I live in the Dallas area and 89.7 will do everything within their power to make it happen, They are big supporters of Petra and have pushed JAH very hard. It is a blessing to have Powerfm on the air. Now the bad news Russell Hobbs is the owner of TheDoor in Dallas and has had many disagreements with Petra's Manager(we all know his name) and has vowed never to work with any of his artists ever again. Why I am saying this is because Russell has alot of say so in what artists come to this area. If he doesn't want Petra here they won't play here, even if it's not his venue. Russell has alot of pull at 89.7 as a financial contributor. I know Russell pulled his support from the 2 shoutfest concerts we had in the area last year because there were some artists on the bill that are managed by Wayne Seboa. If anything maybe we could see them in an outlining area, but that would mean a very small venue with no advertising. I will be honest I don't see them coming to Dallas, but hopefully we can get somewhere else like Tulsa, Houston, or/and San Antonio area. I would be able to do those shows and maybe more.
Tulsa

Unfortunately, I'd have to say don't hold your breath for Tulsa. The radio stations have shown MASSIVE resistance to Petra for over a decade, and Cat and I really don't know why. Despite our best efforts we've been unable to make anything happen... and we have very little resources financially to actually do it ourselves. Brent has even looked into it, and I'm not sure exactly what his reasons were for not going forward, but I suspect that he has a strong feeling that he would lose his shirt on it because of lack of radio support for a Petra show.

I'm in Houston and I'd love to see Petra come here. I've never seen them live and I really want to before it all ends.
They definitely need to come to Dallas ...

If not somewhere else in Texas. I live 300 miles away from the Metroplex. (I had no clue about the deal between the Petra manager and TheDoorDallas owner.) Maybe they could go to The Underground in Sherman-I'm sure Tony Brown would jump at the chance to have them back there. I wish they could come to a bigger venue.

I live in Bedford, and I was at the 2000 concert at the Door and I was at the 2003 concert in Sherman. Both shows were awesome. I've seen Petra live 4 times and I would love to see them just once with Bob Hartman playing with them. I was at Ronnie Cates final show with band at Six Flags in Arlington back in June 1996. I will do whatever it takes to help bring Petra to this area one last time, they have too much history in this area not come back on the final tour. Let me know what I can do to help!! May God always bless Petra in the future, those who played with the band and those who buy their albums and listen to them in the future.
