Sites down?

Post by Michael » Tue Oct 28, 2003 8:20 am

Looks like both http://www.inpop.com/ and http://www.petraband.com/ are down this morning. But I guess I can't say TOO much, since http://www.johnwschlitt.com/ is showing an "exceeded bandwidth" message... ARGH!!!

At least http://www.guidetopetra.com/ is up this morning... which lately has been a little bit of an unusual thing...

I hope Inpop is on top of this...I'm nervous about Petra hitching their wagon to Inpop's feeble ponies. :?

Me too

Petra should have their own site, away from the record company. I think that any big artist would do that anyway. I sure wouldn't trust my site to another lable even though I'm signed to them.

Well this is not the first time guys.....inpop has done it to us before.

I can't say too much, since, as MJ said, jws.com is down...

we're just TOO popular! (either that, or we simply have too many videos and audio clips)

I'm a little nervous about next year, since part of our funding runs out in March - we'll be back down to 20 gigs instead of 40. Bummer.

Time to start up the auctions or something.... I'm not sure.

40

How much would it cost to keep it up to 40 or if possible to go up too 60?

We're on 100megswebhosting.com - you can check out their plans there.

They charge $180 a year for the advanced plan of 40 gigs of bandwidth.

We have two packages right now. I just renewed the one package that runs from Oct. to Oct. 2004.

The second package was donated in March 2003 and will expire March 2004. I have some funds still available left from the donators, but not $180 worth. I'll have to see exactly how much is in the fund.

I have a few months to figure out what to do... I'm not too worried yet, just thinking about it a bit.

Yikes! Well I can mirror LOTS more.

As of now, I've used less than 12 gigabytes of my bandwidth for the month TOTAL -- all my sites plus the Petra files mirror and the Zone -- and I have 40!

So let me know what else I can mirror! :D

Eventually I might have to cut back, but for the next several months anyway there's NO problem with piling it on my server. :)

I'll take you up on that!

I have an email from 100megs telling me the highest bandwidth-sucking files; I'll forward that on to you and if you could mirror all those - that would be terrific!
