"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss

I was in a coworker's office this morning before hours installing a mouse, of all things, and that was one of a long list of quotes that she has on her bulletin board. I thought it was appropriate for this situation!

Mikey got a look at the Guide with the gray background... he started crying so hard that Cathy called me to help calm him down.

Oh, he already knows (about Petra), Elo. In fact, I guess he didn't start crying until Cat explained why the site is gray. But we told him that John is still singing (Sue, next time you talk to him, tell him his Best Friend is expecting more CDs from him!) and that helped. He said, "But, I LIKE Petra!"

I told him, "Yeah, me too!"

It was hard to see the tears build up in his eyes! He really has been impacted in such a great way by Petra...being that he loves music and also that he himself loves to share the gospel w/ others...I think he has a spiritual connection to the band as well as many other connections as well! He definaltely will have some story to tell his children...the fact that he was a pethead baby and all!
Today he has been jammin out to a cd collection of his fav Petra songs on his portable cd player ...so I think he will be ok:)

He's hilarious... he puts on the headphones and doesn't care a bit that he's the only one who can hear the music when he sings. "LORD I LIFT YOUR NAME OOON HIIIIIIIIIGH!! LORD I LOVE TO SING YOUR PRAAAAAAI-SEEEEEES!!!" hehe What a cool kid. You guys can't have him. I only share him with Cat 'cause I have to!!!

My oldest nephew who is 15 now (sheesh they grow up fast) was about
15 months old when the "Beyond Belief" CD and video came out...He absolutely loved the guitar entrance for "Beyond Belief." He would just look when I'd put the tape in and he'd hear it. He likes the "On Fire" CD now that he's older.

Now if only the phrases "don't argue" and "don't make me tell you that again" didn't have to be part of the vocabulary... :D
