Into The Future

I've been giving this a lot of thought and I've decided what I really like to see happen. If Bob and John really feel it's time to retire the Petra name for whatever reasons, I can respect that and do my best to believe they are making a well thought out and prayed out decision.
Beyond that, I don't see any reason that Bob and John could not continue to work together. It seems John wants to continue with his solo career and as a mucisian myself, I just don't believe that Bob will be able to sit back and retire from making music. The man has been doing it for 33 years and continues to do it well.
Bearing all this in mind, it seems only resonable to me that the two could and should continue to work together. Perhaps it's just time to let the Petra thing rest, what with all the effort, touring, promotion and expense that it requires.
Still, John's career should be a bit easier to promote and I could easily see Bob taking up a role as a producer of John's albums. They could save some expense on studio musicians by having Bob play and save studio expenses by doing the recordings in Bob's studio. Bob could continue to write songs and have them expressed in John's albums.
Now the one hang up to all this could be if John really just wants to be free from any kind of coopertive working relationship and would really rather just be in the position to be a totally true solo artist. If that were the case then he would need to go off on his own and do it himself. But barring any of that. I think it would be a golden idea.
