Is John and Petra still being booked by H2O?

I read on the johnwschlitt.com site and it's not listed.

I was curious about his rider to see about the feasability of promoting a show here where I live.

If anyone knows how to get John's rider I would appreciate that info.

Yeah, talk to me! :D

I book John. H2O books Petra, though they can book John too (but I don't make that fact known for obvious reasons!)

Send me your email addy, and I'll get the rider over to you asap.

I'm at: [email protected]

If you want to book a show with John......you can't get any better service than from SUE!!!! She's got not only a vision for John's future concerts, but also a heart for the promoters!

Thanks guys. Sue was a great help with info. And prompt - I can see why John would want her handling his shows. Much friendlier and easier to contact than a lot of the lesser known bands with booking agents.

I am growing an idea based on what we were talking about in the Convention thread.

I am curious about whether people from this forum could attend a John Schlitt concert where I am at.

I would love for people to post on here and answer these questions.

If John Schlitt was headlining a One Day mini-fest (full show) in Kingsport, TN (90 miles east of Knoxville, 60 miles north of Ashville, NC) would you be interested in attending, or able to?

Would you be able to come for the day, or would it be more enticing if it were just a concert with John only (with a opening band)?

Would it be more enticing to move it to Knoxville or Asheville?

I am going to poll the area churches as well. I want to get an idea of the best type of event to get a good draw.

Thanks

Well, you could count me in in any of those locations because I LOVE that area of the country and vacation there a lot. However, logistically speaking, I think Knoxville has the most accessible airport (that is, most and cheaper flights).

Thanks for the kudos, crossways. I try to reply as fast as I can to all emails... why make people wait?

I'd certainly head down that way if timing/finances permit. I've never been to TN, so that would be a treat.

One thing that I've learned is that it's good to have a local band along with your headliner, whether you're doing a festival or a single concert. Local bands usually already have a following, so you'll have a built-in audience who will come to hear their local favorite, then stay for the headliner (even if they don't know the headliner or don't care for them. They will stay because they're already there and have paid their ticket (if you're charging) ).

How involved and how much work you want to make for yourself is also a factor in having a mini-fest or a single concert. I've done both, and the full-day festival is more work - but for both types of events, much of the groundwork is the same (hiring the sound & lights, advertising, printing, promotions, all that).

There's a big difference in cost (unless the locals agree to play for free or a small reimbursement), and in the logistics of changing the stage set-up for each band. That also takes a bit of planning and co-ordinating with the bands and the sound engineer.

Just a few more thoughts thrown your way....

Tennessee show

Wow... that would be like a 14-hour drive for us. Even if you moved it to Knoxville that's 13 hours. We might do it for full Petra... maybe even for John, since Knoxville is a fun place to go anyway... but it's iffy for us Oklahomans.

Knoxville would be great. If you'd hold it towards the end of October, we'll be there singing and donig BBQ for the A.C.T. convention in Nashville!

I'd love to see John with "Andband" 8)

Do it during the summer when I'm not in school and I might go :D ... I like Tennessee too, although I haven't been there for many years. I do remember how pretty it was. Next summer is still a ways off, there's time to do some planning.
