I just received this reply to my email to club 3 degrees in Minneapolis:
Ben,
We are looking into getting Petra for the fall. Check our website for the exact date once it is confirmed. Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks!
Mike
I'll be hoping for the best. I'll send up a couple of prayers, too.

I love MN. They have a good arts and club scene. It ain't what it used to be, but it is still great compared to most.

Spot, are you going to make it to Sonshine this year? At one point, Petra was going to play there.
Sonshine is in my home town of Willmar, MN and I visit there on the average of two weekends a month. Mom, my bro and his family, and my sister and her family still live there plus a couple friends.
Otherwise, either meet up at the final concert in this area (let's hope) or let me know when you are in the area next.
I am pretty flexible.

I'm really hoping they make at least one stop in MN as well. I've just got to see them one last time.

I never heard anything about my boys playing at Sonshine. I'm planning on seeing them in Minneapolis, maybe Cheyenne, and definitely Fargo if they play here.
I'll catch you sometime, String. I've been trying to return these darned tapes for two years now!

Man it would truly suck if they played in ND. Well for me, that is-good for everyone else of course. That'sjust close enough to be really annoying because I can't go.

I thought I saw it at the Sonshine website awhile ago but things could have changed. I just checked
http://www.sonshinefestival.com and no Petra is listed under confirmed bands. (Bummer!!)
Oh well, I'd rather spend 15-20 on Petra alone then spend Sonshine's fees to wade through what I like and what I don't care for (Not much I like, from what I see.).

I'm hoping the Sept 11 Petra appearance in Chaska will happen again this year. I think they did 2 of the last 3 years. A very good turnout for that both times.

Aaaah, if they are gonna be there, I'll be there. I think I can handle an 8 hour drive! Hope they won't be playing the same time I got a gig.....

Somebody, anybody - what's the name of the guy who promoted the September 11 Petra concerts in 2002 and 2004? I'd call him if I could remember his name.
Thanks!

I am 99.9% sure this is the church. Tony Larson is the guy. The first time they were here on Sept 11, the local paper had an article on him and the show. He is a big Petra fan so he was instrumental in organizing it with his church. I'm hoping he is thinking the same thing - we gotta get them back one more time.

You're absolutely right, Tony Larson is the guy. I'll email or call him to make sure he's aware of everything that's happening with the band.
Thanks for sharing that info, friend.
