I don't remember what either of their names were

But one of them I met after an Audio A concert in Cedar Falls, IA - he was wearing a Petra shirt so that's how I figured. We chatted a little bit, but I don't remember what we said. Another guy I met at a Berean's Christian book store in Canton, OH - we were both looking at the rock CD's at the same time and we chatted about our tastes for Petra and Stryper. I told him about the Petra Zone (which he'd never been to before). Both guys were in their 30's, I think. Their names might have been Bob and Jim, but that's just a wild guess on my part.
Hey, if either of you guys are here, let me know! It would be cool to talk again.

I when up to a guy wearing a pethead t-shirt when Petra was in Australia but he didn't want to talk. I found a few Petra fans that were kind of morbid and didn't like talking about Petra I was a bit hurt

but thats life.

That's just plain weird. How could Petra fans be morbid? Those words don't even belong in the same sentence together.

Plus, it's strange to meet someone with a common interest that just doesn't want to talk about it.

Yeah it was wierd I don't know any Petra fanatics in my state but to finally get to a concert and meet fanatics that didn't want to communicate was sad.
Having said that I meet some fans that saw me in wearing my Petra t-shirt that where really friendly and we still communicate today these guys noticed the un-friendliness too.

Maybe they are being seduced into the Dark Side of Si-Si-Em with those feelings of shame about their association with Petra.

Snicker. Well, there's nothing wrong in and of itself with liking a band, but it shouldn't take up all your waking hours, and you are crossing the line if you should try to take care of their business for them. It is only natural Petra fans meeting for the first time should talk about Petra. It was wrong for those folks to assume you needed help because you're a Petra fan.

I share with non-Petra-fans that my favorite band is Petra (and second favorite is Stryper) and I don't care if they think that's weird. Some do, but that doesn't bother me b-cuz I'm proud of my fanship.
Hmmm, fanship - I don't think that's a word. Or it wasn't until now. . . Hu hu ha ha ha, I'm adding to the English language.

Oh, I've had my share of being thought of as weird about my Petheadedness.....oh, well.
I've had much fun with the band members and I've been blessed big time through their songs!

Sometimes people wear shirts with stuff on them that they don't care about... you know, like maybe it was a freebie t-shirt they got for showing up for something at church one day. I mean, it IS possible for someone to be wearing a Petra shirt and not know what Petra is.
