CD glitches!

Post by seichu kaisho » Sat Aug 13, 2005 9:04 pm

Yama monkey brings mistakes to light again :o

Any of you who have listened to both the tape and the cd of This Means War probably noticed that the first split second of the song "He Came He Saw" has been chopped off on the CD. Isn't that annoying? Kinda detracts from your enjoyment of the album.

And the Back to the Street CD has 1987 on it instead of 1986. Hmmm...

You want to know something I never noticed before, My cassette of BTTS says 1986 on it, but the CD says 1987. Now the weird thing is that I bought them on the same day on the release date which was June of 1986. Thanks for bringing this to light I never even looked at my CD like that before. It has to be a misprint.

And "He Came He Saw" starts with 3 snare drum hits instead of 4 on your TMW cd also?

Drum licks

Post by Michael » Mon Aug 15, 2005 7:25 am

This really isn't exactly a new discovery, although most people aren't listening closely enough to hear it. Apparently the very first pressings of the CD were OK, but later ones have a smidge of the opening drum riff cut off. One of the CD collections with the song on it... I can't remember if it's Rock Block or Petra Means Rock... has the version with the whole drum roll on it.

It would be interesting to know if the versions you can buy online for download have the complete drum riff. :)
