I appreciate having the footage - I hope I will get to one of these last shows.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but
The video/sound quality is awful. It really does not make Petra look or sound very good. I know Petra is AWESOME in concert, but if I was not a big fan of them and saw that footage - I don't think I would try to make a live show.
I know this was a fan and a camera and not pro footage, but I would think twice about sharing this with the public at large.
It wouldn't be hard to get some good footage (even if it's not professionally done) so that there could be a glimpse of a concert.
(There is even a lady, sitting near the camera, singing along with John and it's hard to hear John at times - AND SHE'S SO OFF KEY

)
Lady?

I don't think that was a lady singing. I think that was a guy.
Actually, I find the singing guy entertaining... kind of a little bit of comic relief! He's having SUCH a good time! The problem with the audio quality isn't the band's problem; it's because the show was recorded on a camcorder. If you miss a live show because of that, you've outsmarted yourself... Petra sounds GREAT live in concert.
For a real fan, the greatest thing in that video isn't the music anyway; it's hearing what John and Bob have to say between the songs. Cat was in tears by the time she finished watching it!
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned that "Farewell" is spelled wrong in the opening credits.
The badwidth on John's site is not anywhere near used up this month. Please do not post direct links to our mirror sites; I'm removing the one earlier in this thread. We don't want to abuse the people who have volunteered some of their bandwidth by putting all the traffic over on them.

I never said the audio was the band's problem - in fact I said I knew it was a cheap camera (implied anyway).
But I would hope that people are checking out the site that aren't die hard fans like we are. I'm just saying that if you didn't know any better, you might not be too impressed.

I don't know, I think people can see that it's a camcorder video. They can figure out that it's not a 4-star production. I agree with you that we would prefer for them to see something done professionally, but since there's nothing BEING done professionally... this is the next-best thing. Besides, amateur videos have a way of becoming Internet classics. Ever see the Star Wars Kid video? hehe

Like MJ said, it's NOT professional by any means, but it's all that's out there. I personally would rather see a low-quality vid than no vid at all. And I think most fans feel the same way. And after this year - what will it matter? We don't need to impress anyone at this point. By Dec., Petra will be retired.
I may have a better quality vid coming from the Powerfest concert... I'll have to wait until a friend sends it my way to see.
But speaking of bandwidth, it looks like something's wrong.... MJ, can you check on it? All we get is a "close window" instead of a mirror location.

Is it legal to record/video a concert? If so, I will gladly make a video when I attend the Springfield concert!
fixed

I've fixed the link... it should work from now on, to the limits of our site bandwidth. If anyone else who has some server space is willing to donate a few GB of bandwidth, it would help us out... we're not that close to dead yet, but if word of this thing gets out I could see the bandwidth going FAST. We can limit how many GB we use (assuming nobody links directly to the file, that is) and when that much has been taken up, nobody will hit you again until the next month. If you want to become a mirror, even if only for this one file, PM me and we'll get it together.
If you've already been a mirror (coughcoughMicahcough)

, you can just upload the file to your mirror area and you'll be helping us out.
