I'm sure this has been done before, but I just wanted to see all the places that people have been to see Petra.

Ok -- here goes....

Six Flags Great Amereica - 89 (I think) - On Fire! tour

Illinois, Cornerstone '90 - Petra Praise/Beyond Belief was just being released I think

Raliegh, NC '90 - Beyond Belief Tour

Fishnet, '91 - In between albums, I think

Ridgecrest '96 (I think - my mind is forgetting dates now) Petra Praise 2

Wise, Va '97 (??) with Gaurdian and Tammy Trent

Bristol, Va '98 (??) opening for Newsboys' Step up to the Mic tour

Alive Fest, OH 2000

-- Biggest dissapointment -- I think it was the Fall of '94 Petra was doing the Wake Up Call tour and came to Bristol, TN (30 mins away from me) My college had a game that night and my director wouldn't let me out of marching   I have heard that tour was one of their best. Worst of all for me was that it was the last time I would have been able to see "my" Petra (Schlitt, Hartman, Weaver, Cates, Lawery) :( :(

-- Most awesome -- When they opened for the Newsboys, I walk in and there is John with NO ONE around him at his merch table. I walk right up and spend a good 20 mins in conorsation with him, and then again after the show. All I can say is that he is so nice and down to earth.

Also Alive Fest. They played like at 4pm  But I was able to get on the first row. I have watched the video over and over from Sued's website, but I can never find me! :P

I am really hoping to make a show this year!

  NEXT

I've seen them lottsa times, LOL.

First one-1984 at Irvine Meadows Ampitheater in California.

San Diego in 1985, just before Greg left the group.

Greek Theater in 1987 or 1988, the first time I saw John with Petra.

Christian cruise with John in 1990.

Irvine Meadows in 1990.

Knott's Berry Farm New Year's Eve 1990.

Atlanta Fest I think in 1991.

Creation West I think in 1992. I'll have to double check on the festivals, I do know it was the early 90s. LOL.

Universal Ampitheater in 1992.

In Irvine, the Bren Center in 1993.

Lancaster a few days later. :D

Another cruise with John in the summer of 1993. 8)

Knott's Berry Farm on New Year's Eve 1993.

Six Flags Magic Mountain in CA in 1994.

JoyFest in L.A. in 1994.

John solo at Pillars of Faith in L.A. I think in 1997.

Petra later that year at Pillars of Faith.

Melodyland in I think 1997. Pete, Kevin and Lonnie were still in the group, so it was around then.

Pethead Convention 2003.

Oceanside 2005.

Hopefully Oceanside again in November, I'm planning on it. :D

It's not really that far, but I'll have to see. It is too far for me to feel comfortable driving by myself, I tend to get sleepy on long road trips and I'd have to have someone along to navigate. I can follow directions when someone tells me how to get somewhere, but I'm horrible at reading maps. I'd have to see how much it would cost to fly. I'll be in school also, and two in a row when I'm in school might be a bit much. I guess I could bring my school books with me, LOL. I would like to go if I'm able to, I'll check it out, it would be the last time I'd get to see them before they retire. I know if God wants me there I'll manage it, and of course I would love to see you again. I'd go just to see you. 8) My friend Linda would probably like to take a road trip and she's a great navigator, I'll have to see what she says. :) She navigated when we went to Oceanside and then Palm Springs.

I'm jealous of all the times Shell has gotten to see the guys. I have only one to my name...

and soon to add next week:

'05 -- Okolona Christian Church (Louisville, KY)

Yeah, I've been blessed. I went to a bunch of Christian concerts in the 80s and early 90s. There's really not much of a Christian concert circuit to speak of in my area any more.

Pathetically, I've only seen them once, at Jesus Northwest 1994, during the Wake Up Call tour. It was pretty good, but not a complete concert, only a little over an hour.

I intend to add another one this year, most likely Bogota, Colombia on December 18th.
