This is not a band I've heard of. I was wondering what those who have seen them in concert with Petra already have thought. Thanks.

I saw Farewell June about a month ago when they opened for FFH at the Princeton County Fair here in Illinois. They're a really talented group that played rock, pop, and even a blues song they had written. The lead singer plays guitar, harmonica, and the violin.

You won't be dissappointed.

I saw Farewell June last night at the opening show of the Petra Farewell Tour. Very good band! Versatile too. They had a killer bassist.

Petra had some aces up their sleeves with their set. They did an acoustic set in which Greg laid down the bass and picked up the cello. Very good acoustic set...lots of songs. They also did a medley of old tunes, but it went way beyond the normal Sight Unseen/This Means War/ It is Finished deal. I Am on the Rock was in there, as well as Mine Feild, and many others. Anyone who sees Petra on this tour won't be disappointed.

In case you didn't know, there is a tie-in with Farewell June to Petra:

Farewell June's producer is none other than Jonathan David Brown.

Check out his mug shot at:

Jonathan's very proud of "his band," as he says, and I for one am happy that he's still producing in the Christian scene.
