Petra - The Video Game

What we need is a good video game programer. Someone who can write the code for a PETRA Video Game. Something that would have a decent collection of Petra songs as well as all the past members and the members today.

Set it up like Madden NFL, to where we can pick our favorite band members as a line up to go and play a tour. or even pick an era....like take the originals back on tour, or even tour Beyond Belief all over again. That would be so cool.

We can setup points......how many Grammy's and Dove's can we get them to win during a run. Or how many souls can be saved during a tour.

I think that would tie us over in the mean time until someone says hey let's do a reunion concert.......lol

We have a computer game that is almost entirely made up of Aerosmith songs... you have a "pick" that you plug into your serial port and you try to learn to "play" guitar parts, with the goal being to learn to play them well enough that you get to play in an arena concert with Aerosmith! It's a pretty fun game for the musically-inclined, but I never heard about the promised sequel games from other bands. <shrug>

I saw on "I love the '80s" (VH1) recently that there was a Journey video game for Atari back in the early '80s. Maybe we could just reissue that.

Review of the game

more detailed info

Hehe... sounds like a pretty dumb game, unfortunately. But the "manager" sprite DOES look a little like Wayne Seboa:

(Just kidding... I've never seen Wayne that I know of...)

We never could get the "prize" to work (it was supposed to be a screen saver of some kind, I think). I think I actually even still have the original download! That game was possibly cheezier than this Journey game sounds; wasn't it kind of like a Super Petra World thing? :)

I never saw the Journey game on Atari, but I played the arcade version. You had to guide each member to his instrument while avoiding various obstacles.

The "video game" was Flash or something... online only, and I doubt anyone has archived it. I've uploaded the "prize" to http://www.guidetopetra.com/downloads/Petra-ss.exe, so download that puppy and I hope you have some luck getting it to work! If you figure out anything, let us all know!

VINTAGE CHAT WITH BAKES
In today's look at the past, Bakes replys to a topic from 2003.

________________________________________________________________________________

If the file was flash based I'm wondering if someone could work on the code and get it to work It give a fault error on Windows Vista. I even tried to set it Win98 settings but it didn't have any effect.
