My wife and I just decided -- we are taking two days off - leaving on Monday night so we can be there all day on Tuesday and returning Wednesday.

If anyone from the board is going for sure then shoot me an e-mail or PM and we'll get together for a pre/post Petra party!

I have been given the ok by my wife, but since I will be flying out of Houston I wanted to know how far is Nashville from Franklin? Since I will be landing in Nashville. Thanks

It's basically a suburb of Nashville. You should be able to get a shuttle to somewhere close to Franklin.

The web site for the venue said that they are also set-up for live webcast.

Though I am going to the show (LOL

) I wonder if they would broadcast it live, for all the petheads who can't make it -- or who might get turned away at the door

Did my eyes decieve me or did I actually read in the article on PETRA ROCKS MY WORLD that the audience capacity was 500???????????
I could get more to a concert of my grandmother knitting a pair of socks!!
Why such a small number??? Is it something to do with better sound quality for recording or somethin'??

Did I read that correctly that the max capacity is 500 people? If so, I'm surprised John agreed to it (based on his previous comments). Sounds awesome though...can't wait till it's released!!

If you go to the link for the venue, it appears that this place is primarily set up for live recordings and broadcasts. This is to Petra's favor in the recording and DVD aspects. Lugging in recording equipment to a large venue has many variables and potential problems.

Plus - this venue should be packed and will seem like there are 50,000.

I know when my band plays in a very large venue to a few hundred, we feel disconnected with not as much energy. When we play one of our small local clubs that has a capacity of around 75 people we oftenm play the best shows.

Capturing that live energy of a great Petra show will be awesome in this venue, I think!

Because of what this venue is specially made to do, it will bring out the best quality product to CD/DVD.

I have also been thinking about the live webcast senerio. This would be awesome. I would still buy the product on Nov. 22. Petra may feel that if they do the live webcast that some may not buy the CD/DVD when it comes out; I would think that would be the only reason for not doing it

We should not be disappointed in the venue this place is state of the art and will be out a very high quality product. This place is first-rate!

you'd also have to find a site that had enough traffic to warrant the broadcast.

I guess if they advertised it for their site it wouldgenerate some viewers, but I'd say that here and Josh's site have the most traffic by far. Would they want to let a non-official Petra site host it?
