It took long enough, but the review is finally up. Work and baby have eaten up almost all my available time. But I finally got it all written.

We took tons of photos of the event, but unfortunately most of them did not turn out since we weren't allowed to use a flash at the show. We were able to salvage a few, which I will post tomorrow (I hope).

P.S. besides my review of the Farewell taping, I have also posted photos taken by fans at two other recent concerts. Check 'em out!!

Good review. I was sort of wondering if you'd taken the baby with you or left her with relatives. That's a long trip for a little one.

and just to think i was there when the famous journalist josh renaud was taking notes!!!!!
ya know josh, something very funny happened at the concert, there was this couple from puerto rico and they approached to me saying: are you friend of josh renaud? because we saw you talking with him"
i was like "well, yeah" and they said: OHHHHH we wanna meet him!!! we visited his website and wrote him" and stuff, they were like very excited and i was like: come on is just josh (LOLOL).
and i told them to go and talk to you and they were like shy (hahaha) so i said: do you want me to introduce you?" and they said YEAH so thatwhen i took those fans to you
I feel so powerful, like sue with john (HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), from now on josh i will realize how important is your friendship (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!)

Sounds like the concert was a blast. I'm a little disappointed that there were two medelys. It has always struck me as a cheap way of trying to get more "songs" into a show, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Wish Volz could have done more full songs--especially some rock tunes. We already have a live recording of "Graverobber" on Captured in Time and Space, so this recording seems a little redundant except for its historical value.
Regardless, I will buying the album on release day and am greatly looking forward to it.

Judging from set lists of other recent shows, they just did their regular show they're touring, except Greg sang on some of the tunes he originally recorded. Grave Robber was awesome live... but you're right, it might come off as a little redundant on the final recording.

I can understand that. Given the choice between fewer full-length songs that are likely to be standards I've heard over and over in concert, or a medley that will feature songs they haven't played live in a long time ... I'd pick the medley.

I think it will seem less redundant on the DVD. He really has a very different performing style from John, and I think you'll enjoy the contrast of watching him do Graverobber.
