WOW... that's been one of Petra's signature songs for ten years. That one DEFINITELY needs to be on there!

As long as they don't drop any of their original songs, I'll be happy.

Naturally I would prefer they include every song on the CD, but realistically, there are going to be songs that don't make the CD but are on the DVD (so you'll buy both!). I would speculate that perhaps either the Melllow Medley or Gravrobber will not make the CD, but will be on the DVD for the same reason. Same with John Lawry's solos; since the first one kind of sounded like a guitar, it will probably be on the DVD so you can actually see he is playing a keyboard, with the Jesus Loves You making the CD.

I could live with "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" not making the CD as long as it makes the DVD, cuz it is very visual. (Sorry John.)

If they have to drop any songs, I say drop Lord I lift Your Name. Why waist room on the CD with a song that Petra didn't even write. Make room for the good (origional) stuff. Petra may have been doing for 10 years (let it die already) but it's been around for WAY longer. I sang that song in youth group when I was 8. There are SO many better worship songs out there right now. Yeah, I'd rather hear PETRA songs on the CD.

I didn't Email in, but I DON'T think it should be dropped. This is a song everyone can enjoy. I know they didn't write it, but it is fun for them and the fans. The fact that ypu sung it when you were 8 is even more of a reason I liked the song. It was a way to get my kids introducted to PETRA. After they heard that, I was able to get them to listen to more PETRA. It's not a PETRA classic or original, but its a fun song. I thought they should have gove over the hand motions with the crowd and taped everyone joining in (more crowd shots)!

Agreed. I'd rather they dropped that one instead of one of Bob's solos or perhaps, "I am a C-..."

They shouldn't have to drop any of them, The whole thing will easily fit onto one CD. In my opinion I feel they oculd sell more DVDs than CDs on this. How long have we waited for a DVD concert from Petra? It will sell better than anything Petra has sold in the last 10 years.

CAli,

Why would they drop the mellow melody or Grave Robber? I feel those are two special highlights of the show.

I have never been a fan of an artist playing something that is not original or something they recorded for an album. That is why I rate the praise albums so low. I want to hear things that Bob or other members of the group has written. Nothing excites me more than new material.

CITAS was pretty long too....they shouldn't have to drop anything. I would everything would be on both the CD and DVD.

There's no "new material" on the CD at all... it's ALL been recorded before. Plus, there's really no good reason to strike "Lord I Lift..." unless there is some royalty thing (for example, if Inpop doesn't want to pay the songwriter to use the song). I doubt that would be the case; it doesn't make sense to delete that track. <shrug>
