LORD I LIFT YOUR NAME ON HIGH & C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N

Why does this 2 GREAT songs did not make it on the Farewell CD? Petra really did a great version of this songs. The CD has only 14 tracks. 16 tracks is not too long...

Has Inpop already finished pressing the CD? Is there still a way to add this two songs???

We just gotta accept it - not every song we would have wanted to have on the cd is on the cd. There are many Petra songs I can think of that would have been nice to have on the cd (or in the concert set list as a whole) that are not included. But I know to just accept things the way they are.

The earth is temporary and none of its treasures will compare to the joys of heaven. :D Pretty dang cool, eh?

I've never heard Petra do the "Christian" song before and I don't know how anyone could possibly make something that rocks out of a song like that. (But Petra . . . what do I know?) :? I'm rather interested to hear what it sounded like. . . . .

Lord I Lift Your Name On High is ok...but I'd rather hear something that isn't the only Petra song the CCM stations around here have.

"I Am a C" was done a capella with John leading while the band set up for the vintage set.

That's interesting.

At the concert I attended in Saint John, NB, Canada, they did it at the end of the acoustic set, with Bob accompanying on guitar.

Yeah... Bob DID play guitar at the taping. Interesting thing was that they played it once and did NOT play "I Am A C," and they they played it again and DID play "I Am A C" at the end. Maybe the other version will be on the DVD... or maybe not.

There actually is a way to rock out to I am a C

For ten years Antioch did a medley of Sunday School Songs. This medley kicked off with I am a C.

As an indie band that alot of people haven't heard before, I felt it was important to have something that drew people into the band. Many times people don't know your songs so bands will do praise and worship tunes. I didn't want to go that route as everyone has done it. So we compiled a bunch of Sunday School Songs and they went over great.

We would do them midway through our set. We rocked up
I am a C,
The joy of the Lord is my strength,
What a mighty God we serve/ah Lord God.
Father Abraham
The B-I-B-L-E
I'm in the Lord's army
I've got the Joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart.

In 2001 when John first heard Antioch, he commented after the show that we had really tapped into something with those songs. He said it was very original. He saw the crowd response, which was always great. Even when there were laid back crowds, these songs got people moving consistantly over 10 years. We became known for them.

At the taping of Farewell, I was surprised to hear them do I am a C. I asked John who had the idea to do the song. He recognized where I was going and sheepishly said it was Bob. I then jokingly thanked John for ruining it for us. I told him given my envolvement with him through Andband that anyone knowing that and having seen the Farewell tour would now think that i stole it from Petra.

I did not...

Sunday School Songs ROCK!!!

I can say you didn't steal it from Petra, Enosh; I heard you do those songs in 2003 in Wisconsin, you were doing them before Petra started doing them. :)

Those Sunday school songs are fun.

Judas' Kiss will not be on the CD, but it might be on the DVD. Creed is still on the album.

I am positively CRUSHED!! Bob's solo was a killer!! I can't believe it's not on the CD. This is one I thought HAD to make it.

Bob's solo could be on the DVD. That way we can watch as well as hear it. I personally hope Paul's solo is on the DVD. :D 8)

I hope you're right, Shell. Man... when Bob went into his solo, I was completely absorbed. I had to watch every note and the sound was just incredible. It's something I have to hear again, even better see again.

Hey, when I listen to Judas Kiss on the MPTY cd, I never get through that song without rewinding Bob's studio solo multiple times.
