Family Christian....No Petra???

I went in to our local Family Christian Stores today, and they DID NOT have Petra:Farewell!!! They didn't even show that they will be getting it! The girl I talked to had no clue....

I went to familychristian.com did a search for Petra:Farewell and it came up 0! What's going on??

My son works at Lifeway and it is not even in there system that Petra has a new anything. I sent him with some coupons and maybe they will get it.

He. I went to Family Christian awhile ago to pick up a couple of copies for Christmas presents and they didn't have it and didn't seem to have a clue either. Barnes & Noble had it in their system, but didn't have it in their store. They do have just about everything, but they don't always have it in the store. I'm gonna send it to a couple of people for Christmas via Barnes & Noble online.

Barnes & Noble has to be one of my favorite places on the planet. I could max out my credit card without half trying, which is why I'm careful and don't go there all that often.

Which city is this Lifeway at? They should have it... let me know and I will make some calls.

I'm looking into the problem with Family right now as well...

If there are any other stores you guys have visited that do NOT have the album, please let me know ASAP so I can get this remedied!!!

This sounds like my trials and tribulations trying to find Jeckyll & Hyde at local Christian bookstores here in Columbus, OH. Either the store didn't have a clue or they were getting it in way late or they weren't planning on ordering it at all. I ended up purchasing it from Best Buy of all places.

I pre-ordered one from Christiandisc.com but haven't got it yet...thought I would visit Family to get one...and to my surprise....NOTHING! I was just wanting to do my part to help sales.

I just called Mardel here in Plano, Texas and they said they do not have it in store and have no records of it at their wharehouse. She said they will not carry it. It's funny because they always have some old Petra laying around. I will Family and LifeWay in my area also and get back to you with a message.

Well I just called my local Lifeway christian book store here in Houston and also stated they did not have it or will carry it. Very disappointing!

Family Christian in Plano, Texas said they do not have it, but would be willing to special order it. She said they do not expect to carry it though, because if they did it would be on their system. She did say that I am the third person to call her today asking for it.

Lifeway in Plano, Texas said they do not have it but it could be here by next Monday. They only receive shipments on Monday.

What is going on here? I remember being able to find JAH and Revival at all of these stores on release day. My Best Buy said they have one copy.

It's a Petra Boycott! They are saying Farewell and nobody thinks the CD will sell I guess...Shame...Shara's got her work cut out for her!

This will be fixed... working feverishly on this now!

Apparently there was a mix-up at EMI Distribution, which handles the distribution of the album to retailers. We're getting it resolved right now.

Thanks for the heads up, guys! Keep letting me know which stores are not carrying it, please!

I've handed out all those $2 off coupons. I'm thinking nobody will be getting it today though. It's a shame it has to be this way. I'm sure I will get some calls tonight.

We just talked with Mardel in Plano and they DO have it. They've got 10 copies on the shelf right now and have sold 3 copies so far. So, I don't know why the store told you they didn't have it...

Any chance that iTunes Music Store will carry it as well?

The Lifeway Store in Buford, GA (may also be known as the Mall of Georgia store, even though it's outside the mall), did not have it in their system and were very surprised. A very nice woman assured me it was a mistake and they would likely get some in soon. So for now, I'll be waiting by the mail box tomorrow to see if I can get a copy.

I believe this is the store that Pethead1's son works at. That must of been him I spoke with yesterday, Pethead. Very nice young man.

I wonder if WalMart has it!!!!!

So it likes like all these stores aren't going to have them in for the big shopping rush this weekend. Pitty!!!!!
