Hi Everyone,

I Was just on the Petrarocksmyworld website and I read something that Josh wrote about buying the Jekyll and Hyde cd and not being a freeloader by getting your music off of kazaa.

I'm on disability and money is tight in my family. I didnt have to go to kazaa. A brother in Chirst bought the cd and made me a copy of it. He was happy to do it.

I buy Petra cd's when I can off of ebay. For a much lower price then I can get them from my local Christian bookstore, or even online Christian bookstores.

As far as being a freeloader. You can call it what you want. Do I download mp3's yes. Do i buy the cd's when I can yes. I cant just go out every week and pick up a cd.

Lets be honest if God wants Petra to have the money to continue thier ministry they will have it. God is above every download that takes place. If Petra's work is true to the kingdom of God and advances it then God will make sure Petras Ministry is funded.

Godbless to all here

Hi

I'm sorry to hear about your disability. But you see how hard it is just to get by living with tight funds you have as it is. That CD is Petra's life, their income as well as what they make on the road.

And I know that some of you say "What's one person" but it's just not you in this case. I'm in the process of starting my own buisness, so at the moment I'm unemployed and am living at home at the moment, I go out and sing with my ministry on the weekends, because God hasn't released us yet to do this full time.

However, I first got turned on to Napster, and then KazAa...but what God started showing me was, not only is it steeling it's taking away from those ministries. So I uninstalled KaZaA and have been free from mp3 downloading for months now. As soon as I started to change some of those things in my life, the money started coming in for me to get those albums.

I'm not downing you brother, you're on hard times, and I'm praying that God delivers you out of that and get's you well and able to work again, and if you're not to work then I pray that God will supply all your needs and the funds to live and not ever want.

If you're brother made you a copy that's between you and him. But God will bless you in the right desissions that you make. I'm a big music lover, I can't stand not to hear music, music is my life. However I know if I don't have the money then I just will wait until I get the money. I've been trying to get "Beat the System" and "Back To the Street" on CD for the last several years....but when I get money other things come up. I have them on cassette but often my cassette deck is being used for Studio use.

Now if it's songs that no body is making money on, in fact if it's an out of print album....I would sudgest checking to see if that Artist is still selling his or her or their own copies on the internet......if not then I don't think you are henduring anything. Now personaly if Petra had an out of print album, and I downloaded it I would still send Petra $15 just because that's the kind of guy I am.

But I know the frustrations of what you're going through....so I'll be praying. I know that's not why you posted, but I'm just letting you know.
