CITS Petition

OK... BIG development in the CITS petition last night! I'll have to explain a few things first. CITS was released on Star Song records; Star Song is now owned by mainstream media giant EMI Records. After I mailed off the initial letter a month ago, I found out that the guy I THOUGHT was still in charge of the Christian division at EMI in fact is not. The guy currently in charge of EMI Christian Division is a guy named Bill Hearn... extra points for Petheads who recognize the name. (He's not a part of Petra history, but his dad is!) BUT: there is a "new" (this year) position that was just created, head of EMI Christian PUBLISHING. The person that position was created for is none other than Eddie DeGarmo of DeGarmo & Key fame! My letters never came back, but I don't know for a fact that they reached Eddie or Bill. I also sent emails to their email addresses (which I guessed at based on the one I had for Mark Dunn). Mark's email bounced back to me a month ago, but the ones I sent to addresses for Eddie and Bill never did, so I guess we can assume they got there.
So, last night Cat and I were at the Tulsa performance of !Hero The Rock Opera. I knew the whole !Hero thing is Eddie's baby, and I also knew that he had been spotted at a number of shows, so on the off-chance that we might get to see him, I printed another copy of the initial letter and brought it along. Well... WE SAW HIM! We got his autograph, and I told him about the petition and gave him the letter. He didn't show any enthusiasm about the idea especially, but he didn't blow it out of the water either-so I guess we'll just see what happens. So keep praying, and we'll see what happens!
