Who is Mike Reed?

I have been listening to the Farewell CD in my car, very loudly, all the time. I have listened to it on my stereo system at home a few times, but my wife doesn't enjoy Petra as much as I do.
Anyway, my wife was with me, and I had it on, but not too loud. She wasn't listening too close, but at the end of Creed, she suddenly asked, who's Mike Reed?
I didn't know what she was talking about? She said at the end of the song the guy sings "This is Mike Reed". I laughed, telling her that he sings, "This is my creed."

Actually, your wife may be right. In Oceanside, CA, there is a pastor named Mike Reed who is a huge Petra fan, and has Petra come to his church every year or so. Anyways, Pastor Mike Reed calls himself "Mi Creed", and runs across the stage when Petra sings, "This is my creed...". Ever since then, John can't sing Creed without thinking of Mike Reed.

Cat has a habit of cutesy-izing words by inserting a "W" between the syllables. So of course, our son Mikey sometimes becomes "Mike-wee"...

Speaking of W's.
When the change was made to john"W"schlitt.com. The members of AndBand began putting "W" in the middle of sentences with our own names. I have videos of Mat describing the situation by saying, "Over here we have Jon W Holtz, or Enosh W Fee, or Bryan W Aiello, or Mat W Guathier. It became quite an inside joke back then. AndWBand!
