Petra songs sung in church?

Does anyone's church sing any Petra songs? Excepting the songs on the praise albums that were written by others.

Here are some that I think would be fitting:

I'm Thankful
Without Him We Can Do Nothing
I Can Be Friends With You
Father of Lights
Praise Ye the Lord
Godpleaser (as a benediction?)
Adonai
You Are I Am
King's Ransom
Thankful Heart
I Am Available
Don't Let Your Heart Be Hardened
First Love
Somebody's Gonna Praise His Name
The King of Glory Shall Come In (on PP, but Bob wrote it)
Love
What's In a Name
Prayer (during missionary commissioning?)
I Need to Hear from You
In the Likeness of You
Enter In (not necessarily congregational singing, but it would make for awesome special music)
Sincerely Yours
We Hold our Hearts Out To You
Lovely Lord (on PP2 but written by Bob)
Shadow of a Doubt
The Invitation
The Longing
I Will Seek You (of course!)
Sacred Trust

Any more? Any less? Obviously a lot of these won't go over in most churches.

I think many of these will not be sung in some BRAZILIAN CHURCHES.

Because here all churches are very dificult to accept Rock and roll
Do, it is the reason that we have problems to bring PETRA in our country.
And w have this..SOME PROMOTERS do..what BARULINO did in IPATINGA.

But we are fighting to bring them again

I think Not OF THIS WORLD, MORE POWER TO YA, WHY SHOULD THE FATHER BOTHER, COLORING SONG, FOOL"S GOLD, KING'S RANSON and Ask Him in could be added in your list

We played "We want to see Jesus lifted High" Petra style in our church last week and in spanish. We also have others in mind. All our band members are big Petra fans and love their music.

Oh, here's a story. Back in September '02 I helped to publicize a free Petra show by faxing out homemade fliers to about 45 local churches. At the show, I saw 3 or 4 members of my church's worship team. Two weeks later, we sang Ancient of Days for the first and only time.

Coincidence? Who knows?

Hey Elo,

What are the lyrics to Lord I Lift Your Name on High in Spanish? I've heard it a couple times but never caught them all. I want to learn it!

Thanks.

I got out early ok??!!!!!LOL

here are the words Micah:

Tu nombre levantare- Lord I lift your name on high
me deleito en adorarte- Lord I love to sing you praises
te agradezco que en mi vida estes- I`m so thankful you are in my life
que vinieras a salvarme- I`m so glad you came to save us

dejaste el trono para- you came from heaven to earth
mostrarnos la luz- to show the way
de tu trono a la cruz- from the earth to the cross
y mi deuda pagar- my debt to pay
de la cruz a morir- from the cross to the grave
de la muerte a tu trono- from the grave to the sky
tu nombre levantare- Lord I lift your name on high.

The lyrics are a little bit changed (ya know some words are different but mean the same)but the message is the same
