Question about the Acoustic Set

I've been listening to Farewell quite a bit (obviously) and I noticed something in the Acoustic Set. I'm pretty sure that people who were at the taping said that John and Greg only did lead vocals and didn't do backing vocals for each other. But as I listen to For Annie and The Coloring Song, I'm sure that I hear John doing backing vocals. It sounds distinctly like John, as opposed to Greg or Paul. So could somebody tell me which of the following scenarios is true:
1) John recorded backing vocals for those two songs in the studio.
2) I'm mis-remembering posts from those who were there, and John did in fact sing those BGVs live.
3) I'm completely crazy.

It is going to be the #2. If you watch the video promo that Inpop has out you can see that John & Greg both do backing vocals when the other is singing lead. You can see the video over at Inpop.com.

Each did in fact back up the other a little. Greg struggled in backing up John tho, because he didn't know the lyrics to the current Petra songs. He admitted that to me at the Murphy, NC concert. He promised he was ready for the final concert, and he was.

What about on some of the other songs throughout the Live CD. Having seen them live, I recognize the backing vocals of Greg and Bob. Some, however, seem a little higher and smoother (no offense). For example, in the rock medley "Think Twice" - The part WAIT JUST A MINUTE....The backing vocals don't sound like Bob or Greg.

That is actually Greg! I thought it was John but after watching some of the bootleg videos it is Greg!!! and he does a great job of it! Just listen to the amateur recordings during think twice and you can hear greg singing.
Cheers!

Don't forget that Paul sings too. And he sings well. He does a lot of the harmony on the acoustic set and throughout the show. John said that Greg and Paul were two of the best singers he's ever worked with onstage, and especially at the same time.

Thanks for the replies. I'm glad my ears aren't going crazy.
