What Petra-item would you like to see John build?
As you know, John is a whiz with woodworking.
If John were to build something Petra-related and sell it, like Bob did with the guitars, what would you like it to be?
What would be an affordable price?
Post your ideas here.

Petra CD Holder
What about someething like this.
On top, the Petra logo, engraved (or raised), with a sword substituted for the T (TMW Concept).
On the bottom, CD slots for, enough for all of their albums.
In the middle, a small ridge to "display" a CD face forward.
If done right, $75-$100.

A magazine rack fo the bathroom, with the engraved names of all of the ignorant record industry folks that sent Petra and rock down the toilet.
Seriously, I would like a Petra CD display case of some sort, with enough little CD sized cubes for every legit CD (no remixes, no compilations) to be displayed. It would need to be lit with LEDs. The top of the case should have a Petra logo burned in. This should be a collectors piece, with serial numbers.

I would buy a CD holder. But I would also like to have spaces for Johns solo CD.
I myself would like to have a walking stick. I need to use them often and have wonderd for a couple of years if John could make one. I would pay $75 to $100 for a stick John makes. Maybe with a cool looking cross on it.

How about something other than a CD rack...
How about a large picture frame with some Petra related photos/artwork (sorta like the petra 33 guitar pick guard) and John's favorite verse carved into it. Maybe $75 - $150 depending on the item.
I would proudly hang that on my wall.

I like the picture idea. Maybe a picture with a mat that would frame 4 or 6 pictures of either PETRA CD's or combination of CD covers and signed pix of band members.
Or - a shadow box - with glass in front, like a showcase that you can hang up like a picture and put your favorite Petra collectible in it. Or have the latest CD in it with the flat go to with it.....have it signed.....something like that. The boxframe signed by John or with a gold plate and a serial number and his name.
That's all I can think of besides the CD case........

4"x4" art is very popular in some art circles right now...perhaps he can do some inlayed design-just a flat piece of work-in this format (or larger if the small scale proves to be too intricate). Well maybe make it 5x5 to be nearly the size of a CD cover. Depending on the amount of work, I would expect to pay at least 50 dollars for something like that.
BTW, for all the fancy work that everyone is discussing, 100 dollars seems frickin cheap to me.

He could do photo/video boxes. Instead of the cardboard ones you buy in stores, he could make a wooden one, with the Petra logo, or CD cover pictures decoupaged on it (like the Farwell CD). Something cool looking and decorative that you could display on just a shelf and will look cool if you have several of those.
Also - a treasure chest would be cool for those who have lots of PETRA collectibles

It is an I-POD world now. LP's, and cassettes are HISTORY! CD's are heading that way. The music market is going to downloading. If John can make something that holds the IPOD or some form of an ipod with speakers he'll be on to something that will appeal to more than just the "petra" people. maybe something that will also work in the car for the ipod. I work for that big box electronic company that is blue and gold "great buy". The music scene is all IPOD. The stores can't keep IPOD in stock. Perhaps, on top of the unit there can be a figure of John or Bob dancing when the music plays....hehehehe.
