You know Bob is still gonna be writing music, isn't he?

He has been writing songs for over 30 years. Don't you think that the creative jucies are gonna keep flowing ? I hope they do, and I hope he releases them in some form or fashion so we can hear them.

I think I am in the "denial" stage of loss.

If the artist and money was good enough he would consider it. I just proposed him writing two songs for the next Project Damage Control. Have not heard back from him yet.

What does that mean?

There are multiple reasons why I think we have not heard a response. The first is the money, the next is the association that PDC had with Louie and John in the past, and the third reason would be time. Those are the known issues on our end.

It was a interested high tone "yeah right" :) I would like to hear John recorded on PDC again.

Sounds a little to much like you are trying to get Petra back together but I ain't complaining :)

Well, that's what I was hoping you meant. But, I do not want to assemble somehing that is no longer meant to be. It would just be great to have two songs by Bob. I was hoping from songs in the can, or "crumbs from the table". But he would have to write from scratch, with the vocalist in mind (obviously). So, since that would be perceived as Petra, it wouldn't work for him. Then, we can't afford to pay Bob to sit around until he has a good tune.

The next PDC will be made this year. The concept will change a bit. We will continue to cater to the older, religious and nominally religious people that listen to secular music.

We are waiting to hear from Gregg and Matt Bisonnette. They said that they would do it. We just need to work on scheduling. We have a fellow Petra fan and very skilled guitar hero type in Manchester, that will be involved. I am also chasing Paul Gilbert for lead guitar. Of course George, Christian, Alan and myself will still play.

Now that's an interesting concept...Get John and Bob and get Paul and Greg for drums and bass and you would have a Petra reunion.

Not likely though.

I remember reading somewhere that Bob does his writing only specifically for projects... apparently he doesn't just get an idea and whip out a song. So there probably isn't too much unrecorded material sitting around out there... I'm not saying this to Brent, because I'm sure he knows more about this than I, but for the benefit of others. I would guess that if Bob agrees to put something together for PDC, it will probably be something specifically written for the CD.

We just heard from Bob. He is distancing himself from music for a while. He is focusing on family and taking care of business for a while.
