Farewell DVD Cover

I've seen the cover! The artwork is pretty much the same as the art on the CD. The bad news is that the track list is the same as the track list on the CD... no
Judas' Kiss, no
Lord, I Lift, no
I Am A C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N. In fact, the keyboard and guitar solos are not listed either! The presentation is Letterbox, and it says "1 hour 50 mins" so unless that includes the bonus material, that's a lot of chatting from the concert. (It must include the bonus material.)
Bonus material:
- Interview with Petra
- Interview with Peter Furler (newsboys)
- Interview with fans
- Bonus rehearsal footage
No mention of outtakes, although those might be in the part classified as "bonus rehearsal footage" so it doesn't look like they embarrassed themselves in front of the crowd. hehe

What, there's a DVD being released?
I'm sorry they don't have "Lord I Lift Your Name On High". I am glad they have the extras, I'm looking forward to the interviews.

Man, that is disappointing. You know, John told me he thought the DVD track listing was going to be the same as the CD, but I honestly thought he was mistaken. I was HOPING he was mistaken. He also said the drum solo wasn't going to be on there either, unless it turned up on "bonus" footage.
I'm sorry, but it is just plain stupid not to include "Lord I Lift Your Name" because it is such an intregal part of the climax of the concert. And "Judas Kiss" had the best guitar solo, not to mention it was unnatural to disconnect it from "Creed" like it was in concert. And, the "I am a C" was a fun part of the concerts. So much for spontenaiety and showing Christians having fun. And who the heck cares about another interview with Peter Fuller? Wonder if he was wearing the eyeliner?
I was really looking forward to having my friends see just what it was like to see this phenomonal concert, and it sound like this is going to miss the mark. I mean nothing compares to actually being there, but I expected better.

While I am excited to have the "live" dvd my thoughts on not including Judas Kiss, etc. can be summed up in one simple expression....Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I still love Petra but could care less about listening to Peter Fuller. What is that about? I have been a part of Petra longer than he has. They should have interviewed me (sarcasm for those who cannot hear me right now).
Furler

That's "Fu
Rler", there, Bridget. Just think of him as the only reason Petra lasted another couple of years, because I think John might have given up without an actual contract.

Anyway, the word "Newsboys" (actually, "newsboys") on the cover can't do anything but sell more copies.
I've got the list of stuff, copied right from the back of the DVD cover (no, I don't have a copy of the DVD... just the cover) on my site at
http://www.guidetopetra.com/ . And remember... misprints do happen. You should see some of Larry Norman's albums... WHEW!

Now, I will be disturbed if they don't have a drum solo somewhere...
I know a young lady from Brazil who probably feels the same way.
And yeah, they should have had "Judas' Kiss" and "Lord I Lift Your Name." I'll just be glad to have the DVD though.

That is so much crap that it is flying everywhere! I'm sorry but they go to the trouble and record Judas' Kiss(one of their best songs of all time) and they choose NOT to include it in the final package. That is the one thing I was really looking forward too on the DVD. They will hear from me on this and they should hear from us all on this matter. That guitar solo in Judas' Kiss ripps.
You sum up a 33 year ministry like this? These people(including John & Bob) should ashamed of themselves. Get a backbone guys!

I can understand the frustration, but it's a bit late to do a lot about it now.

So Anton if your listing is correct than they are leaving out JAH? Boy that would be a HUGE shock for me because JAH was very popular not only with the fans but very special with Bob.

Guess we'll have to wait until we have one in hand to know for sure....
If I can't talk a certain someone into scamming me a copy ahead of time (yeah, right!) - PLEASE post what's on it, because I'll be out of the country on release date and won't be able to see it until I get back after March 12.
... way too long to wait.

I would have to say that I'm disappointed not to have Judas Kiss and the solos on there. Those were great parts of the concert in Irvin, and I'm sure at the recording too.
If the DVD is 1 hour 50 minutes, I'd much rather see everything the band did, then interviews (please don't take offense fellow petheads). I know how everyone feels about Petra, and I feel the same way.
I'd have to say, that another interview from Peter Furler isn't on my list of things to see. But as Michael stated, without him and Inpop, we probably wouldn't have Revival, J&H, a Farewell CD or DVD to complain about.
Oh well, can't please us all, especially all of us Pethads.

You're going to be out of the country Sue? You want to tell the nosy bunch here where you'll be?
